Chapter Seven IF SOMEONE ASKED ME to recount how I’d managed to successfully tug Luca to shore, I would have no explanation to give them. Yeah okay, all powerful legend and all that crap. But he was still weak enough that clinging to the boat was the extent of the help he could give me—though I was grateful enough for even that. And if someone asked me how I’d pulled him up out of the water and onto the stone walkway, I’d cite divine intervention, because hell if I had a better answer.
