Chapter Two WE HADN’T BEEN TO THE Aventine, home of the House of Remus, for about a month. Specifically, we hadn’t been here since our last legend problem, and the place really did bring back memories as we drove through it. There was where we were abducted by a psychopath. And over there was the site of the magical flood that almost killed us. Arriving at the top of the Aventine hill, near the park that served as the main gathering place of the House of Remus, we filed out of the car. The Remus himself stood waiting by the gated entrance to the park. To my surprise, he wore dark pants and a white shirt that accented his brown skin.
