Chapter Twelve OVERNIGHT, I RAN THE situation through my head. Trying to decide where to go from here. I had a number of possible suspects, but no right to question them, let alone make them answer for what they did. I had a legend willing and possibly able to solve our crop problem, but a mob of angry people refusing to let him near the fields. And I had no way of keeping this crop issue from repeating or escalating. The answers failed to magically pop into my head by the time I returned to lab the next morning.
