THE DAY ENDED AFTER I briefed Berti, leaving out our less than professional treatment of her favored colleague. In turn, she informed us she’d arrange for the agricultural complex to expect us tomorrow morning. (Actually meaning that Pradip would arrange it.)
At least until tomorrow, I didn’t have to think about any of this. About legends and biological attacks, about wars and diplomacy.
