By the time Lena arrived at the clinic, the police car was parked in front of the clinic, the flashing lights dimmed, but still enough to cause Lena to narrow her gaze. She could see Bella standing outside, her expression tight with worry. Bella was in her early thirties, with an unassuming yet strong presence. Her warm brown eyes always reflected compassion and dedication. Her dark brown hair was usually pulled back in a simple ponytail, giving her a practical and no-nonsense appearance. She jumped out of the car, her jacket slung over her shoulder, and rushed toward the entrance. The clinic stood at the edge of the small town.
