For what felt like the twelfth time, Chloe had changed. Twelve dresses. None of them felt right for “office assistant.” She held up the flowery yellow knee-length gown again and shook her head. “Too short.” Dropped it. Picked up the lacy blue one. “Tsk. No. Too revealing.” She exhaled. “I have to make a good impression. Not many people have a good one of me right now.” Fifteen minutes later she settled. Formal red skirt. Crisp white blouse. White fitted jacket over it to hide how tight the blouse was across her chest. Matching blue heels. She yanked the hairband out and let her curls fall loose over her shoulders. No makeup. All natural. ‘Now I look every bit formal.’ She heaved a sigh of relief. Walking down the stairs, she caught Clara in the hall. Clara gave her a thumbs up
