Duke sat in the darkened control room – speakers at a deafening volume – listening to his new Miles Davis album. He'd had a turntable installed next to the mixing board, and in the moments when they weren't recording, or whenever he could take the time to listen to a few tracks, he'd play one of the albums he and Crystal had purchased at the record store. As the needle grooved along the vinyl album, Duke found himself enthralled by this new process of spinning records. And he owed it all to Crystal.
