Well now this is intense, we were in the helicopter that Ashley dad came with, okay how did I get here, well let's go back a bit now shouldn't we

" Daddy!!" Ashley shouted

wait this is her dad, the man is freaking gorgeous like the kind of man that if he steps into an ashawo market ( Ashawo means p**********n) all the girls would give them selves for free no charge, what I'm I saying this is somebody dad, God forgive my mouth, alright time to act matured and professional, at least the orphanage taught me well

I stood still and waited for them to finish the crying sprint, gosh I almost cried, please note my sarcasm, I still don't understand the relationship between parents and children, it's almost pitiful

" who is she" her dad asked, oh finally I'm been noticed

" she's someone I met, she saved my life and made sure I didn't get killed" Ashley said

Well she's right, although it might seem like I over exaggerated everything she might not have been killed maybe kidn*pped and asked for ransom blah blah blah, but still I couldn't put her in danger cause I'll be in danger too

" thanks for helping my daughter" he said, well he didn't mean it, although it's clear he loves his daughter he doesn't seem like one to say thank you, but who I'm I to judge, im more hypocritic than him

" you're welcome sir, just been a good human" I seem to be lying more this days, of course I'm a bad human, if me saving myself instead of others mean that im bad, then im so so bad

" what's your name" he asked, can they be going already, but now people must have heard the noise and would have started asking questions

" May, sir I'd suggest if you start going now, cause people might be headed this way now" I advised because it seems their heads isn't working

" oh sure, Ashley let's leave, this is my number, call me when you have a problem" he handed me his card which of course I collected

Ashley came to me " follow us" she said

" why" it's not a bad idea actually but I have my pride I can't jump into the offer immediately like a frog

" well you said you have nobody here and two you'll be with me, I'll take care of you, you saved my life I can't leave you here, gosh this place is scary"

" is that so" I pretended to think " so what's in for me " don't get angry I'm a business person

" really" she laughed " okay you'll get to complete your education, you'll be given a job with pay and when you're of age you can leave and you'll become a citizen of Italy and when you're done with school you'll get a job, well my dad would officially give you a real job, now how's that" she smiled

" sounds good, okay let's leave"

So here I am in the helicopter, oh no pardon me the private jet, like this girl looks like old money, they are freaking rich, she changed her clothes already, like in naira it's should be worth about a million if not more

Well seems like I've landed gold, no I'm not a gold digger I'm just saying that it would be better with her than suffering in Nigeria

" who's baby is it" Ashley dad asked, well I don't still know his name

" urhh ask her" I pointed to Ashley

" dad it's Paul and Susan's baby, they died in the accident, she saved me and the baby and she's been taking care of it for some while now, cause i don't know how to" Ashley said

" oh poor baby" he said, again he didn't mean it " so what are we going to do now, maybe we'll take it to an orphanage" what orphanage, hell no, I know this isn't my baby but they know this people shouldn't they not at least assign a nanny to her or something

" no" I said, they all looked at me, wow the air is so thick " I'll take care of the baby, I saved it so I'll take care of it" I said

" okay" he replied

" really, I'll help you financially" Ashley said she seems genuinely happy and she helping would be better, especially if it's financially, the baby would need some clothes, maybe I'd go for Sunday market when I reach there

" thank you" I smiled back, the baby started crying again, time to change so diapers and feed her, he doesn't have much problem she's probably a year or 11 months, I really don't know

" May May" I heard someone calling my name and tapping me

" yes"

" we're here" oh it's Ashley " you'll need this" she handed me a jacket, wait a jacket, oh Italy we are here

I wore the jacket and wrapped the baby up, i know how to do all this cause I'm from an orphanage remember, i mostly take care of the kids and all that stuff, it's both fun and annoying at the same time

The jacket was really needed, it's quite cold outside, and there are cars packed out there, wow the rich society is actually interesting, trust me I'm actually impressed like really impressed but it didn't show on my face, I've seen a lot of things in the life getting shock would probably be when I'm at death pose, I followed her to the car then stood outside

" come in" she said

" no she should drive with the others" her father rebuked

You see why,I waited outside at first, to avoid this kind of embarrassing situation, the guard lead me to another car, it was with guard, coming from an all girls orphanage, I feel self conscious right now, but I'm a good actress so i keep my face cold, ya ive practiced a lot

" so what's your name pretty black" one said, racist pure racist, although I'm not dark in complexion, I'm actually light skinned but I'm an African so i understand but still it's isn't an excuse for racism

" May" I answered

" wow May" okay,he then kept quiet. the ride was peaceful after that

We entered through a gate, obviously, wow, this isn't a mansion, this is a castle, wait who leaves her, the President of Italy or what, the land is vast like four football fields combined, this is some old money doings, we first passed through the cleared out path before we packed at the parking sport, trust me I've never seen this much cars in my life

" mommy, Ashley shouted, wow I haven't noticed that people were already lined outside to greet them, Ashley seems like the loved child, that's good

Mr Ashley father, walked up to greet his wife, oh no my bad, he kissed his wife, like hungrily, she blushed a shade of bright red, so this is what blushing looks like, wow I've never blushed in my life, she stared right at me

" urh a new maid" she asked

" no mom silly you, well she might become a maid that is if she doesn't mind, she's the girl that saved me and the baby from the crash" Ashley said

" oh, well hon thank you for saving my daughter, if you ever need anything then please say so" her mom said " My name is Chiara and my husband's name is Enzo, you're welcome to our humble home" wow i finally leard his name, hard to remember but ill manage just fine " what's your name hon"

" it's May"

" May, it's a wonderful name"

" thank you ma"

" oh no please call me by my name" oh, that's disrespectful

" sorry I can't, where I'm from it's disrespectful "

" oh okay, well you all must be starving, please come in"

" your house is beautiful " I told Ashley

" thank you, I'll personally give you a tour"

" so May, would you like to work here or elsewhere " Mrs Chiara asked during dinner

" well ma, if it's okay I'd prefer to work here, I don't really have experience working elsewhere "

" okay it's settled then, you can start from next week, you'll use this weekend end to sort your things out, and your baby's "

" oh mom, it's not her baby it's Mrs Susans" Ashley said

" oh sorry, I thought it was yours, cause you know,you take good care of her"

" ya May took her under her wing, but I'll support too, financially of course, so tomorrow we're going shopping" she almost screamed, bad table manners

" oh, that so May " I nodded " well that's a matured thing to do, how old are you"

" 17 ma"

" oh, so young yet so brave, id support you too okay Mrs Susan was a good woman this is the least we could do for her child"

" alright, I'm done" Ashley announced " May are you done, I wanna show you your room"

" ya sure let's go"

" okay it this a room or a mini apartment"

" silly you, this is your room, so enjoy it, I've kept some clothes in the wardrobe so bath and sleep, we'll get more clothes tomorrow" she said then left

Alright, I bathed with the baby, changed her diapers and clothes, the made a mini bed with some blankets I found, I laid on the bed looking at her

" what's your name little one" the baby just laughed at me making gibberish noises " you're so pretty, like the morning star, sorry I couldn't save your mom,but I promise to protect and provide for you okay, you're like my baby now, or maybe baby sister" she listened to me, one thing I learn is that babies listen " so what should we name you, i don't really know Italian names and you're Italian, how about Amara, it has so many meaning, in Nigeria it's grace, but it also means blessing and eternal, so for me you're an eternal blessing to me, do you like your name, fine baby" i blow air in her stomach which made her laugh

" Alright go to sleep now" and she started to sleep, good she obeys if she continues obedient I won't have to talk much, soon enough I drifted in to the land of sleep
