CHAPTER 35 Frost sat on a bar stool at the Swenson’s kitchen counter, swinging his legs and eating a bowl of Lucky Charms. He couldn’t keep still. Recharged by almost five hours of sleep and a sugar rush from raiding the pantry, he was eager to head out and track down Dart. Giving Steadman a shot at a few hours of uninterrupted sleep was one of the hardest things he’d ever had to do. And now that the chief was awake, it was even more agonizing to wait. He supposed it was only fair to let Steadman get a shower before they left. The hot water was gone, so it would be a short one, thank heavens. Frost couldn’t wait to get on the road.
