I'll Be Your Girlfriend

"Tell me Sheila." Ergon asked, as he got to where they stood.

"You can't be serious about this, Ergon. Don't tell me the two of you are truly dating?" Sheila asked, glaring at Valeria.

"What a mess!" Valeria mentally screamed.

"It's the truth, Sheila, and it's also none of your business, so beat it!" Ergon uttered angrily.

Sheila stared at Valeria with nothing more than pure hatred, she felt like strangling her right there and them.

"Humph!." She scoffed loudly, then she left, but she didn't go to class, she was feeling so angry at the moment and needed to do something to clear her head.

"Great! I've got an enemy now, one who'll want nothing more than to kill me. Perfect!" Valeria stated sarcastically.

She looked at Ergon and when she saw him smiling brightly, she felt like slapping the annoying smile off his face.

"Why the hell are you f*****g smiling? Does this look funny to you?" She frowned.

"You said yes." Ergon smiled.

"What?" Valeria questioned confusedly.

"You said yes to Sheila, when she asked if we were dating and you told her yes. That means you've finally accepted," Ergon said in excitement.

"You're now my girlfriend."

"Ha! Girlfriend my foot! Don't get ahead of yourself, I'm not your girlfriend!"

"Really?."

"Yes."

"Then why did you tell Sheila that we were dating?" Ergon asked, smirking.

His question caught Valeria off guard. She didn't have an answer to his question, and that was because she didn't know why she even answered Shiela.

"Answer me."

"I don't know," Valeria sighed.

"Just leave me alone, okay, you're being a pest, and you truly bring bad luck to me. Now I've got on someone's bad side and it's just my second day here and you're already causing me so many problems, gosh!." Valeria exclaimed in her lament.

"Ouch, that hurts." Ergon said with a pained look.

"Good!" Valeria said, unconcerned.

She turned to leave, but Ergon grabbed her by the hand and made her face him.

"Let me go, pest!!," Valeria screamed with gritted teeth. She tried pulling her hand away from his grasp, but Ergon wasn't ready to let her go.

"Listen, you need me now, you won't be able to survive without me. So,please accept to be my girlfriend."

"What the f**k are you talking about? Why won't I survive without you? You're not my oxygen. So let me go already! We're so f*****g late for class." Valeria affirmed, making Ergon chuckle.

"I hate you!" She spat.

"I love you." Ergon replied, romantically. Valeria froze.

Seeing her reaction, Ergon couldn't help but chuckle heartily.

"Gotcha!." He winked.

"So now, since I've managed to make you keep silent, I'll explain something to you."

"You saying yes to Sheila about being my girlfriend will bring some problems your way."

"And why is that?" Valeria asked, staring at him confusedly.

"You don't know Sheila, she's a bully, and you know... she likes me. But I have zero feelings for her, so I always ignore her. Also, her father is someone who's rich and powerful. She wouldn't mind telling him to get rid of you. You might even lose your scholarship. Sheila will do anything to get rid of you."

"W.. what, all this because I said I was your girlfriend?"

"Yes, that's what jealousy can do. Anyways, I can't blame her, I've got the looks and I'm the most handsome and hottest guy in school. Girls are dying to make me theirs, I'm just so awesome." Ergon praised himself.

Valeria couldn't believe her ears, she was on the verge of losing her scholarship, something she'd worked so hard to get, all because of some crazy girl and her jealousy, yet the fool had the nerve to praise himself, when it was all his f*****g fault.

"But you do not have to worry, I can save you from Sheila's wrath, her fathers' wealth is nothing compared to ours. He was like a poor man compared to my family's wealth, so as long as I'm with you, no harm will come to you, not even Sheila will dare to touch what's mine." Ergon stated with full assurance.

Valeria sighed frustratedly.

"You do not have to worry, you're my girlfriend and it's my duty to protect you. You're mine."

Valeria was about to say a word when the school bell rang to signify the end of their first class.

"Our classmates will be out soon, let's go somewhere else." Ergon said, and before Valeria could protest, he pulled her with him.

School's Basketball Court....

Ergon took Valeria to their basketball court, and when they got in, Valeria couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the place.

"Wow, this place is huge." Valeria marvelled while she glanced over the area.

"Yeah."

"Why did you bring me here?" She turned to glare at Ergon.

"What do you think? I'm sure you wouldn't want the whole school to see us standing outside class."

"Hello...that was all your fault. I missed a class because of you."

"Don't worry, you won't miss the next one." Ergon replied, as he made himself comfortable on the carpet grass.

"So tell me, will you accept to be my girlfriend now?" Ergon asked.

Valeria immediately went utterly silent.

"You'll get so many advantages. And besides, I wonder why you wouldn't want to agree to be my girlfriend, so many girls will jump at the offer without thinking twice, but you're just so adamant and stubborn. But that's one of the things I admire about you, my girlfriend," Ergon laid emphasis on the word "girlfriend".

"Just shut up and let me think." Valeria snapped.

Ergon was shocked by her sudden outburst.

"Okay your Majesty, my lips are sealed." He smiled, while Valeria scoffed.

To be honest, if she agreed to be his girlfriend, it wouldn't be so bad, and she wouldn't want to lose her scholarship. Just like he had said earlier, being his girlfriend would give her a lot of advantage. And despite the fact that he was super annoying, he was also good looking and funny too, so there's no harm saying yes. Valeria thought.

"You've been thinking for ages now, what's your answer?" Ergon whined.

"Pest." Valeria muttered to herself.

"Fine, I'll be your girlfriend."

Ergon immediately scrambled off the ground.

"What did you say? I don't think I heard you clearly. "

Valeria glared daggers at him.

"I said I'd be your girlfriend!" She yelled.

"Whoooo!!" Ergon screamed, excitedly.

"I'm so happy, you've made me very happy by accepting to be my girlfriend." Ergon took her in a tight hug.

Valeria froze in his arms. She'd never been that close to anyone except her mom.

Her heart beat suddenly increased, and she felt butterflies in her stomach.

"What the hell was that?"
