Chapter 12: Best birthday present

It had been a month from the unification ceremony and everything was running perfectly. The cabins were finished and our pack was amazing. Our businesses were bringing in a lot of revenue for pack events and such. Our gardens were being harvested and prepared for winter storage, last week Mia and Rose got married, Rose couldn't wait another two months until October. William's birthday came up quickly and I was so excited to celebrate with him, I had the best news. I was kind of surprised he hadn't noticed I hadn't had my heat. When I did't get it, I got a blood test and confirmed my suspicions, I'm pregnant. I took a pregnancy test and wrapped it up for him to open on his birthday, I hadn't told a soul and I had sworn the doctor to secrecy because I wanted William to know first.

I was sitting with William in our office doing paperwork when my alarm went off. 

"Work day is over babe, now go get on some nice clothes we have plans." I said getting up from his lap and walking to the door. 

"Really?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"Yep now, go get dressed." I said in a bossy tone.

"What about you?" He got up and wrapped me up in his arms.

"I am getting ready in the spare room, we are on the clock, now go." I said pushing him toward the bedroom and I headed to the spare room. I pulled on a blood red dress that went down to my mid thighs and that had a lovely low v neck. I put on the necklace I got at seventeen and pulled my hair into a messy bun. I put on red no-shows and my favorite converse and walked out to the living room where William was waiting. He was wearing a blood red button down and faded black skinny jeans, and converse to match mine. I smiled as I grabbed the small gift box with the black wrapping paper with silver moons on it. I walked over to him gift box in hand. With my free hand I grabbed his and pulled him downstairs and out the door where there was a path of rose petals heading into the woods. We followed the petals to a clearing with a small gazebo, before we could make it to the gazebo William pulled me into a bone crushing hug. He put his face in my neck and took a few deep breaths, I wrapped my arms around his waist and kissed his neck, where his tattoo was taunting me. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes, the sun was beginning to set, the lighting made him look like a god, he kissed my lips softly then pulled away and rested his forehead on mine.

"What did I do to deserve your love Finley?" He whispered.

"You are your incredible self, day in and day out. If you hadn't been my mate when we saw each other in Vegas, i still would've wanted to end up here. I love you for you, not just because you're my mate." I whispered back.

"Finley, you are the greatest woman in the world. I had a plan for tonight myself but screw it." He took his forehead from mine and grabbed my arms from his waist and set them at my side, then he knelt down on one knee. "Finley you are the only girl for me, I've known it for a long time, I was just too afraid to admit it. You were the first person to love me for me in a long time, you weren't afraid or rude to me when we met just because I was a rouge. You have become my entire world, Amica mea, Will you marry me?" He pulled out a ring box and opened it. It was a gorgeous golden band adorned with diamonds. In the middle there was a moonstone where there is usually a larger diamond.

Tears spilled from my eyes as he spoke. "William, f**k Yes!, I would like nothing more than to be your wife!" I squealed as he slid the ring on my finger, it fit perfectly. I threw my arms round him nearly hitting him in the face with my little gift box. Our lips collided, our tears mixed on our cheeks. I pulled my lips from his and handed him the gift box, unable to wait any longer. 

"I had a plan too, but screw it." I said mimicking his words from earlier. He took the box and unwrapped it, He looked at the small white box with the glossy black lid, and pulled off the top. He pulled the test out in confusion, he looked at it for a minute, I bit my bottom lip in anticipation. His perfect icy eyes went wide when he realized what he was seeing, more tears formed in his eyes as he looked at me, my eyes tearing up as well.

"You're....?" He asked breathlessly. I nodded unable to speak, he cried out in happiness and wrapped himself around me, we were kneeling on the ground, I could feel his tears on my neck as he kissed me all over my neck and face. My tears mixed with his as we kissed, we were on cloud nine, we stayed like that until the sun fell from the sky and the moon lit up the night. We got up and walked to the gazebo and we sat at the table with the now cold steaks and potatoes, which we ate anyway. When we were done eating we sat and talked for a while.

"Does anyone else know about the baby?"

"Just the doctor who ran the blood test, I wanted you to know first!"

"Why did you get a blood test? How long have you known?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I've known for a few days, I got the blood test done, because I never got my heat and I wanted to make sure I was okay." I said taking his hand. "The only reason I didn't tell you was because I suspected I was pregnant, and I wanted it to be a surprise."

"You are the greatest fiance in the world, I can't wait to make you my wife, and I cant wait to meet our little one." 

"Then why wait, we can have the wedding in three days, Zander can be the officiant. And as a big wedding gift for the pack, we can announce the pregnancy. I know the pack will be more than excited to help us prepare. They loved helping with Mia and Rose's wedding."

"I think that's perfect Amica mea. What will we do for our honeymoon?"

"I think we should go to Seattle and dance in the rain, the go to California and climb a redwood tree." I said thinking about the plans I had made so many years go.

"I think that would be perfect. I remember when you told me about your plans in high school, I'm surprised you haven't done them already."

"I did one, but I didn't have the heart to do the other two without you." I put his arm around my shoulder and leaned into his side. 

"I think we should let Ira and Atrox out for the night. Who knows when they'll get the chance again." He said catching me off guard. 

"I believe they would love that babe," I said looking up at him. He was lost in thought, but he looked down at me with nothing but, love and kissed me before taking me from the gazebo and shifting to Atrox, before letting Ira out I scratched behind his ears and he licked my belly through my dress, purring at me. I kissed his large wolf head and let Ira take over.

I was sitting in the makeup chair in Ella's house as Lyra did my hair and Mia did my make-up. She and Rose had had gotten back from their honeymoon in the Bahama's the day prior. Rose's skin was a light shade of red, she was too pale to tan so she burned instead, Mia's skin was the same caramel color it always is, her hair however was now a glaring white. When I was done with beautification process, I went in the bedroom with Tanner and Ella who helped me get in the wedding dress. It was a beautiful snow white, strapless, lace gown with a two foot train. It hugged my shape perfectly, showing off my curves and the teny-tiny stomach you could see only if you were looking for it. My hair was pulled back into a bun with braids wrapping around it, a few strands of hair were falling free. My lips were a pink peach matte this time, my eyes were framed the same as the unification ceremony. Mia, Rose and Ella were dressed in lavender bridesmaid dresses, Tanner had on the same dress but hers had a royal purple design showing she was my maid of honor. My mom came in a blush pink dress her grey hair in a bob, her blue eyes were full of unshed tears. I hugged her and then we all left. We got to the pack-house, I ran into Dawson who ran over and wrapped me in his arms.

"I can't believe you finally got your happy ending. After everything you have gone through, let alone it be your high school sweetheart."

"The next wedding on the docket is you and Oliver!" I said seriously.

"Yes ma'am. I have to got and take my place as best man, see you in a few." He said turning and running to the backyard. 

"You look perfect honey." Dad said coming down the stairs. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek. All my girls left and headed to their places. 

"I'm so happy you're here dad. And I appreciate you calling William son, he doesn't say it out loud but I know it means a lot to him."

"So do you, which is why I call him son, he will always take care of you, and your kids when you have them." It took all my willpower not to tell him then and there. But the music saved me, my dad took my arm and we walked out. As soon as I saw William tears filled my eyes, he looked dashing in a black tux, his hair was ruffled slightly, knowing I liked it that way, his beard trimmed, not gone. His blue eyes glistened with tears, a few slipped out as I walked toward him. My father took my hand and set it in his, fireworks shooting through my body. I barely heard the officiant as he began speaking.

"Finn Dalton would you please recite your vows."

"William you are the love of my life, and by taking your hand in marriage, I vow to keep your secrets and hold them as you have held mine. I vow to be the wife you deserve, I will love and protect you with everything in me. And should you fall I will be the one to pull you back onto your feet. I will forever cherish you Amica mea." I said.

"Billy Vane would you please recite you vows."

"Finley you are the reason I am alive right now. I have never told you this, but when I was chained up and beaten I would think of you and the trips we planned on taking after you turned eighteen. When you told me the other day it hadn't felt right for you to go without me, I was too overcome with emotion i didn't know how to respond, you have completed me Finley, and I had the best birthday, when you said yes I didn't think I could get any happier, but then you gave me your gift. I am the luckiest man in this world. I will forever worship you Amica mea." I heard a few "Awwweeee!" from the crowd at our vows. 

We said I do and kissed.

"Before we go to the reception my husband and I have a wedding gift for all of you!" I shouted as people began to stand. They all turned to us confusion and excitement on their face. 

"Our gift is that in five months, the future Alpha of the Moon-stone pack will be born!" William finished. We were instantly surrounded by our family, who were all crying happy tears and touching my tiny belly.
