Chapter 2
The pack house is huge, with the 3rd floor for the Alpha and his family, the 2nd for the Beta and Gamma with the family and the 1st floor for the unmated pack members. I was made to clean all the rooms and wash their dirty laundry. While everyone else lived a less free life, I was made to pick up the dirt after them.
I was glad to be done with almost all my chores and I made my way to the forest to have some time before making lunch for the other pack members that don't go to school or work. My heart aches at the mention of school, a place where I loved going unlike other kids that despise school. I loved it, it was a place where different species and packs attend, and that's where I meant the one person who ended up making my life a living hell with all her lies. When I see other pack members preparing for school envy washes over me because at a time I was just like them, free, bubbly, loved and cherished by family and friends but now I lost everything and I'm all alone, apart from the Omega who occasionally have little conversations with me when no one is noticing and one time she gave me her text books to read. I'm grateful to her because she and my wolf are the only people who talks to me and keep me sane.
I was making my way towards the forest that has become my safe space, when an Omega approached me. "Hey slave, the Alpha calls for you", that's right, I'm called a slave in my own pack, a pack that once loved me now despises me, especially my own brother who's also the Alpha of the pack Alpha Zender. Memories of childhood come crashing at once that I was so immense in my memory lane and I ended up crashing into a strong build chest, still trying to balance myself from the fall, I was giving a hard push from the person, looking up only to see Beta Michael and his flavour of the week clinging beside him. I kept my head bent down and apologised to him, but before another word he rained punches and kicks on my already battered body. I held in the whimpers and cries that threatened to escape my mouth knowing fully well that one more word will leave me with a more severe injury. Having ventured his anger enough he walked away and left me with new injuries and opened old wounds that were already healing.
Beta Michael was my best friend before my life took a drastic turn and he was the first person to hate me, we were close and always made plans together, but now he talks to me only when it's to bark orders, and his legs and fist does most of his talking. He always makes sure to remind me of how worthless I am and how much he hates me and wants me dead. When all this started i felt maybe he would be one the people to believe me but he was the first person to turn his back against me which still stings whenever i remembered the look of shock, disgust and hatred shift in his eyes in just seconds. I struggled to stand up and go meet the Alpha, who I knew was going to give me his own beating for delaying to answer his call.
I reached the Alpha's office and knocked on the wooden door that has a design of a howling wolf, and I heard the deep voice that ushered me into the office. With my head bowed I greeted the Alpha which was ignored as usual. "I see you now feels it's your right to ignore my call" Said Alpha Zender with my head down I didn't offer any explanation or say a word knowing fully well, that my brother is a beast that hates me more than anybody because he believed that I was the reason he became an orphan, an accusation that cuts me deep every time he reminds me of that day.
He stood up, walked up to me and said with so much hatred dripping from each word, 'I see you have learnt something valuable slave, how to keep you tramp shut'. I was already scared, praying seriously he doesn't beat me again because I was still recovering from the one Olivia and Beta Michael inflicted on me today. He looked at me with so much hatred that even with my head down I could still feel it drilling into me. Then he spat to me, "Tomorrow we are hosting the Alpha King and his Royal Beta, I want you to clean everywhere to be spotless and make different varieties of dishes, any mistake tomorrow will cost you your life, do I make myself clear?" He said, "Yes, Alpha Zender", was all I replied and hurried out of his office.
Before I could touch the handle of the door, Alpha Zender said, “Slave, a mistake tomorrow will give me enough reason to put your pathetic life to an end, so you better behave yourself and make sure tomorrow ends in good and perfect condition”.
