53 Jasper Locke

1627 Words
“Banner! Where the hell is my cigars?!” Jasper said as he sat up from the bed.        He’d realized that his favorite pack of cigars had gone missing from his bedside table. He was only ever sane when he was smoking on his favorite aged tobacco cigars. Jasper kicked himself out of bed and wandered the unfamiliar mansion, owned by Emily Banner, that he was now situated in. After the incident with kidnapping the wrong girl, Jasper was never allowed to set foot on Locke's family property again. In this sense, he was exiled from his family home, never to return. However, that was the least of his worries right now. Right now all he could focus on was getting his fix of nicotine.        He rushed over to the kitchen where Emily would normally prepare their meals. The only reason he was up this early was that he hadn’t had anything to smoke the night before. With an irritable demeanor, he burst through the door.        “Damn it, Banner, I told you to keep your paws off my damn-”        He couldn’t finish his sentence as he watched the bewitching Emily Banner cook their meal. She wore an apron. Only an apron. She turned to him and wondered what the whole shocked expression was about. When she realized that he was referring to her clothing, or rather her lack thereof, she laughed as if it were a funny joke.        “You have your own rules in your household, Locke. In mine, if I don’t have to wear anything, then I won’t,” she said as she flipped the egg that she was frying in a pan.        The delicate yoke burst as it made an impact onto the hot metal pan.        “Damn… This one’s yours Locke,” she said as she placed all of the eggs onto an awaiting plate.        She spun around and placed it on the table. At the same time, Locke couldn’t take his eyes off of Emily. Even if her body was not completely exposed, her form bewitched the man who could only stare in awe. Her form was not true to her age at all. Her torso was slim and fit. Jaspers's eyes followed the curves that led to Emily’s thighs. Her skin still looked incredibly smooth, even for a woman in her late thirties. Then his eyes wandered back up to her voluptuous breasts. They sat naturally, and lower. If anything, the fact that they sat lower, barely hiding behind that apron, made it more obvious that they were something to behold. Jasper tried to remove his gaze from her, but it was too late. She had already noticed.        “Well, Locke. What do you think you are looking at?” she said, with a teasing smile.        He immediately looked down, trying to look as calm as possible.        “I’m just looking for my cigars, woman. Now, where are they?”        She walked to him, in a slow, seductive, strut. His eyes watched her legs move, as her feet almost glided across the floor. It was then that she stood directly in front of him. His eyes tried not to move down, but her cleavage was even more obvious up close. And the fact that she was purposefully bending over to give him more of a show was a completely dirty play on her end.        “Maybe, they’re somewhere closer than you think?” she said as she traced her fingers across her collarbone.        “W-what are you doing?” he asked, as she got closer.        She leaned in closer. Her lips almost reached his. And he was completely frozen at this point. Both in shock and ensnared in the succubus’ grasp. Finally, she leaned in ever so slightly, so that their lips were barely touching. Quickly, she pulled him in and whispered in his ear.        “I’m playing with you,” she said, as she quickly pulled back and gave Jasper a foxy smile. “You’re not man enough to handle this,” she said as she posed with her hand on her hip.        Jasper shook his head and tried to keep his composure.        “Whatever. As if I’d even go for a hag-like you,” he said trying to laugh off his embarrassment.        “Sour grasping will get you nowhere, Locke. Maybe if you were a little nicer to me, we could have a good time,” she said with a playful tone. “After all, we are partners in crime, are we not?”        “That may be true, but as soon as we inherit this fortune, we won’t have to be involved in each other’s affairs moving forward,” he said in a more irritated tone. “Now… Where are my damned, cigars?” he said, leaning in closer to her face.        She conceded and smiled in defeat.        “Fine. They’re in the hall, by the entrance door,” she said as she gestured over in that general direction.        “Thank you,” he said with a sigh.        She was shocked.      “Excuse me? Did the high and mighty Jasper Locke just tell me… Thank you? I don’t remember it being my birthday,” she said with a heavily sarcastic tone.        “Shut up and put your pants on,” he said as he walked over in the other direction.        She smiled at the playful banter for a moment but quickly mellowed down. Without noticing, she sighed.        “Jasper… How much longer ‘til you remember me? Remember us?”   She returned to visions of a life that she had lived prior to the one that she found herself in. One with a certain man. The man that she had once promised a forever with. And she was certain that it was this man that resided inside Jasper Locke. Sometimes she wished that he would remember. But at this point, it’s been too long that she had all but given up.   ----------          Max and Trae ran over to the precinct from the parking spots provided by their police comrades. After parking their motorcycles, it was a mere 2-minute walk. Or rather, thirty-second run. The two were anxious to know more about this person. The person that was behind the heinous torture inflicted upon their beloved coworker, Lina Kusonoki. The pair rushed up to the main desk and asked for 3D.        “Oh, Dean Donovan? He is waiting for you in the meeting room,” the receptionist said, clearly tired from her long work hours.        “It’s 3D,” 3D said peeking out the door just a way behind the receptionist’s table.        He waved for the two to come over. It was another small room, no bigger than the one that they had their search and rescue operation in. If anything, it was a little roomier since it had fewer filing cabinets in it. 3D took a breath and sat down, immediately gesturing for the two to do the same. Finally, he let out a sigh.        “So, vacation fun?”        “Didn’t we go through this already?” Max said impatiently.        3D chuckled and smiled.        “Listen, I just wanted to lighten the mood before we got into the heavier things. But alright, you asked for it.”        He tossed a folder in front of the two boys. Immediately, Max picked it up and opened it wide for both of them to be able to see and read. The folder had a picture of a middle-aged man, who smoked a cigar. In all of the pictures, he wore a grey suit, and his hair was slicked back. His eyes were deepset and his hair was almost completely grey. He was still built well, as he was not completely skinny. And no matter what, he still looked very strong. It showed even through the suit that he was wearing. And finally, the demeanor on his face told it all. He was cold blooded. The expression on his face showed them how many people he has killed and how little of a damn that he gave. It gave them chills. Before they could start reading, 3D began to brief them on this man.        “Boys. This is Jasper Locke. He is one of the high ups in the Wolfpack, and the man responsible in the kidnapping of your friend.”        Max looked back up to question 3D.        “Are you sure about it?”        “Yes we are. We ran through forensics and stumbled across an interesting sample of saliva. When Charlie applied the shock of the stun gun to Jasper Locke, the latter immediately started to spasm and foam at the mouth. As such, Charlie was smart to leave the weapon on the ground when he did. He was wearing gloves so there was nothing to link him to the act, but there was saliva. And after running the tests, we are sure. It’s Jasper Locke.”        Max and Trae sighed with relief. At first they had thought that they would be running into mere speculation. But it turned out this was the real deal. And they finally had a face to pin on their need for revenge. Max began to probe 3D yet again.        “So, what do you know about this man. This… Jasper Locke?”        “Well at the moment, not a lot. But here is what we are completely certain of at least.”        3D leaned almost as if he were about to whisper.        “This is the same man that appeared in that warehouse. This is the same man that had his hands on your friend. This is the same man that hurt her in the most inhumane possible way. And this is the same man, that we are looking for, so that we can put this Wolfpack fiasco to a close.”        The two students looked at each other and then nodded. Max took a deep breath before he spoke.        “How can we help?”
