The next morning. Marionette woke up to a pounding headache. She groaned softly, pressing two fingers against her temples before rubbing her sleepy eyes. Sunlight filtered softly through the curtains, filling the room with a warm morning glow. She blinked several times before slowly looking around. Then she realized she was back in her bedroom. A faint crease appeared between her brows. "How did I get back?" Just then, something beneath the blanket wriggled. Marionette froze. She slowly pulled the blanket aside.
