I arrived at the Davidson's house. As always, I entered through the servant's entrance. I immediately went to look for the note left by Adams. Folded neatly, I found it pinned to the board with my name on it. It was all flourished and fancy looking. Could Mr. Adams really write so dramatically? It wasn't his style at all so far. Maybe he made a special effort.
I unfolded it and read it. Only a few items were on the list. The last one was to meet with Master Davidson in the lounge at lunch. Below the list was a small paragraph. It read:
If the chores are not completed to satisfaction before the meeting with Master Davidson your punishment will be to go hunt and make supper for the Family.
PS drink some of the sweetened water in the lounge as you wait.
