I got out of bed and shook myself off before walking into the next room to find Adams sleeping peacefully on his side, in shorts. I was finally able to see him completely and he was covered in scars and bruises. Some of the scars were clearly very old and had healed over improperly. This morning's wounds were already healing nicely and would probably barely leave a thin silver line. The pronounced scars must have been from before the Davidson's. They wouldn't have let wounds like that not heal properly. He must have been very young. He had started out in life far rougher than mine. It's no wonder he could withstand my vicious blows. I reached out to touch one of the more pronounced scars behind his shoulder. I traced his sign of power and smiled. I was gifted with two incredible loves. T
