WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU?

Susan POV

My body is shaking under his glazing look. I want to run away at that instant but unable to move. My mind and heart are in total conflict. Some parts want to run away from him, and some want to stay with him. His look is hypnotizing, and my body is getting under his control.

“Hello, baby doll. Do you want to do something interesting? Come with me, and I will show you the world. You will get away from your suffering.” He demanded, coming close to me.

“You better look what you intend to do, brother” I heard a weak voice behind my back and, at an instant, came back to the reality. Bryan turned at the sound breaking his spell. Due to the sudden time skip, I almost fell on the couch.

‘What was I doing? What has he done to me?’ My mind was wondering all over again. Then I remembered the voice which jolted me out of the hypnotism. I looked back. It was Raymond, coming down the stairs but weak enough to walk. Mr. Johnson was helping him coming down.

I ran directly to him but can still feel the evil energy surrounding me. I helped him stand, but he stood straight, maybe because he didn’t want to show his fragile figure to me. He put me behind him and instructing Mr. Johnson to take me inside.

“No, I can’t leave you here. I will be here.” I claimed. Then Raymond turned to me with a weak smile and a soft emotion. He cupped my face with his two hands, “Don’t worry about me. I will be fine. Let me talk with my brother. I will be back to you soon. Just trust me.” Then he kissed my forehead and nodded Mr. Johnson to do as he was instructed.

Raymond’s POV

I can see her going towards her room and then disappearing into it. Then I turned my gaze to Bryan. He was also looking at Susan. “What a beauty! I think you havened told her anything about the curse and cure.” Bryan smirked while making his stance.

“That’s none of your business. Why are you here? What do you want?” I claimed his intention of presence. “Oh, brother, you know why I am here. I miss you. You know how we are related and how we should live.” He smirked, coming towards me. I know why he is here, but I can’t let anything happen to Susan. I have to protect her. “Don’t you dare come near her. She has nothing to do with you or me” I have to lie so that he will be away from Susan, but I didn’t know that he had done his research already.

“Do you think I am a fool? I can feel you, Raymond. I can feel your feeling; that’s why we both end up on a single girl. But this time is different. I can’t control her. The amount of energy I used on her is enough to put a girl on the hilltop to sacrifice her, but she was just confused for an instant.”

Bryan was explaining every detail with a surprise, but it is enough for me to know how I can keep her safe. “I think she is already into you, or she has something else in her.” he continued.

“You better get out of here,” I ordered, but it increased his frustration. He leaped at me, “How dare you to order me? You son of a b***h. You think you are mightier than me just because you have money?”

I fell with his sudden reaction, crushing my back directly on the floor. A loud thud sound came. I looked at him and then smiled, “I will not let you hurt her. No matter what it cost. No matter if I have to keep her away from both of us.”

Bryan came with punches on me as I was too weak to charge, but I just blocked his punches. “You better not take her anywhere. I will make her mine by kissing her. If I were you, I would have done it already.” Bryan shouted again and again.

“You think I will let you do what you have done to Roomie? No way. You better watch brother; I will protect her no matter what happens. No matter if I stay like this without a cure.” This sentence intensified the burning anger inside him.

But we both failed to realize that Susan is already hearing her standing at the door of the living room. As soon as he took a vase from the table to hit me, we listened to a large screaming, “No, stoooopp.” And suddenly, an energy wave came and struck both of us. My pain intensified so as Bryan’s. We both turned towards her. I am turning into a burning man, and Bryan is also transforming. But his flame is the colder one, and mine is the hotter one.

“How dare you touch him? How dare you punch him? He is in a weak state; that’s why you are taking advantage?”  Susan was looking furious, but a beam of energy is radiating. We both are crying in pain. Both were begging her to stop, but she didn’t listen. She kept approaching Bryan, who is now crumbled like a ball on the floor.

Her eyes were burning, and her palms were facing towards Bryan and radiating energy. The more she is approaching Bryan, the more his flame is turning hot and mine into cold. In no time, our flames reversed. It was killing Bryan because his pain was intensifying, and mine was removing.

“You should die. The person who torchers others should die. Do you like pain? The man in front of you suffers the pain every f*****g 15 days. That’s only because of you. Do you remember that? I am going to kill you now at this moment to stop all this bickering.”

“No, stop.” I found my voice at last. She looked at me in amazement. “If he dies, I will die,” I explained. She became furious. “Then he should better get away from here.” She turned back to him and pushed her hands in the air, which just flipped Bryan out of the house.

As soon as he was out of the house, my suffering ended, and so as Susan’s. I saw her turning back, and just a word came out of her mouth, i.e.,’Raymond.’ She just called my name before becoming unconscious. She was like a dry log that has been cut and was about to fall. I got up as quick as I can and held her on my lap.

What are you? What did you do? Are you ok? These are the thoughts dwelling in my mind when everything went dark in front of me, and I passed out too.
