I winced as I rotated my wrists, the pain worsened by the metal cuffs attached to them and a heavy pressure on my stomach pushing my body downwards making it almost unbearable. The man that appeared in my dreams every night approached. As he approached, he playfully twirled an ornate dagger set with the same iridescent material of the scales from Xander’s mother. “Let’s have a little fun, shall we?” His voice made bile rise in my throat as he stepped closer.
