Chapter Forty-One
Xander POV “s**t! Mia!” I ran to my mates side as she collapsed, not responsive. “Mia! Goddammit.” “Mia! Xander! What the hell are you doing?!” Luca stopped dead in his tracks as he saw his sister on the floor. “What happened?!” I scooped Mia up into my arms and ran down the stairs, Luca not far behind as I explained what happened. “She collapsed? Just like that?” “Yes Luca! Just like that! We need to get her down to the safe room. We’ll deal with the rogues and whatever else, then we can sit and worry about Mia. She’ll be in better hands with Doctor Mira.” Luca nodded and we continued down to the safe room. Kids crying filled my ears as the door opened and we were swarmed by concerned women, my sister and Elizabeth up front. I stopped their questions as I lay Mia down on a cot.
