Teira's POV
This morning was the same as the other two except for one thing, Tyler refused to let Matt and Ryan move me so they could kiss me goodbye. I ended up pinching the inside of his arm, though that only made him laugh and loosen his grip a bit. His bicep was as hard as steel, so the pinch didn't do much.
I kissed the other two goodbye, and as soon as they left the room, Tyler dragged me back into his arms and snuggled into my side, kissing my neck gently and sending shivers and tingles down my spine. "Tyler." I whined, and I felt him smile against my neck. "Uh uh, princess. We won't be leaving this bed for a while. Sleep while you can because we've got a lot to do today." he said as he kissed my cheek, then curled up and promptly passed out.
I smiled. From what I knew of the triplets, Tyler was not a morning person. He got out of bed early because he had to, not because he wanted to and the boys had a plan in place that they could swap duties each day so one of them could sleep in each day. I expected that on Tyler's day that we'd end up leaving later than on the other dates. I yawned and curled into his chest and closed my eyes, knowing this would also give Val and Kyle extra time together.
When I woke up a few hours later, the sun peeking through the curtains told me it was nearly lunchtime. A knock sounded at the door, and Tyler groaned, "Go away!" he grumbled, snuggling back into my side. I laughed and evaded his arms, "Tyler, if we don't get up, we never will, and I want to see what you've got planned for today." I said gently to his pouting face as I headed for the door.
"Fine." he grumbled as he stretched and yawned, getting out of bed and heading for the bathroom. I smiled to myself as I checked him out out of the corner of my eye. My boys definitely were gorgeous. Still smiling, I opened the door to see Val, a dreamy look on her face standing behind a cart loaded with food. "I know Tyler doesn't like mornings, so I figured I'd bring you breakfast before you get ready to go out." she said happily. I laughed and opened the door wider to let her through, "Thanks Val, my stomach was just beginning to complain about the lack of food."
Val nodded distractedly, and I helped her to unload the trays of food onto the table. I glanced at her and noticed a worried look cross her face before she hid it again. "Everything ok?" I asked. She turned a bright smile on me and nodded and I gave her a look, she sighed, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Kyle. I wasn't sure he would approve of me as a mate, and I didn't want to put unnecessary pressure on you. You had enough going on." she said, looking at her feet. I looked at her stunned, then laughed. She looked up at me, confused, "Is that what you're worried about? Val, I couldn't be happier that you and Kyle are mates. You're perfect for each other! Besides, it was between you and Kyle. No one else gets a say when it comes to the mating bond, except maybe the Moon Goddess. But, I don't think she's going to object." I said, smiling as I took her hands in mine.
Val laughed, "True. She's the one who made the bond in the first place." she said, giving me a relieved smile, "But I'm glad you're happy for us. He's amazing, and I wouldn't give him up for anything in the world." she said. "Neither would I, nor would I expect you to. But, you hurt him, and I'll kill you. Also, don't give me the gritty details. You might be my best friend, but he's still my brother." I said, wrinkling my nose. She laughed and nodded hugging me and I hugged her back, we broke apart as a voice sounded behind us, "Glad that's all settled, now can we eat so you can get her ready for our date?" Tyler asked.
I glanced at him and rolled my eyes. He was leaning against the bathroom door, arms crossed, his signature smirk on his face. "We wouldn't be hungry if you hadn't gotten up late." I retorted as Val took the cart and placed it next to the door. Tyler walked over and smiled, "I didn't get up late, princess. Any extra time I spend with you is never time wasted. Now, let's eat." he said as he kissed the top of my head and led me towards the table. "I'll be back in a bit after you've finished." Val said with a wink as she left, and I blushed furiously. Did getting a mate make you shameless?
I shook my head as Tyler sat across from me and lifted the lid from the tray. I gasped, and there was a stack of double chocolate chip waffles with whipped cream, sausage links, bacon, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and orange juice. Tyler smiled, "I asked the kitchen to make your favorite, and you're gonna need energy for what I've got planned today." he said as he dug into his plate. I c****d my head to the side, but Tyler just smiled, and I dug into my breakfast, knowing I wouldn't get another word out of him.
When we finished, Val came back and loaded the cart with the dirty dishes, then pushed a protesting Tyler out the door along with the cart. "You'll be able to see her in a bit. Go get ready while I work my magic." she stated as she slammed the door in his pouting face. I giggled at the grumbling voice on the other side of the door, "I heard that." Val called after the retreating footsteps.
She turned to me afterward then nodded towards the bathroom, "Go shower, I'll lay out your clothes. You know the drill." she says as I nod and head towards the bathroom. I resign myself to waiting for the surprise as I know neither Val nor Tyler will tell me anything about the plan for the day. I feel excitement bubbling up in my chest, but it could also be the rush from the sugar I just ingested for breakfast. I couldn't wait to see what would happen today.
I rushed to dry off after my shower and wrapped my hair in the towel, heading for my clothes on the bed. I looked at Val confused as I picked a long-sleeved workout shirt, tight thick black leggings, and a sports bra to wear under the shirt. Val smiled and looked away, and I changed quickly as she patted the seat at the vanity.
When she finished my hair, she pushed a pair of white tennis shoes and socks at me and then began to tidy up the room. "No makeup today?" I asked. She shook her head, "Not until later. Now, no more digging. You'll find out what he has planned in a bit. Put those shoes on and head out. Tyler's probably pacing outside as we speak." she said firmly, and I nodded, knowing better than to continue asking.
I tied my shoes and headed out, smiling at Tyler as he waited outside the door, leaning against the opposite wall. He wore a tight black tank top and workout shorts, showing off his arms and legs and form fitting to the point I could see a glimpse of his abs. I blushed as he c****d his eyebrow at me, "Like what you see, princess?" he asked, and I rolled my eyes at his attitude.
"Of course, any female would love to see their Alpha's body when it's on display." I retorted cheekily, and he laughed, "Trust me, princess, you're the only one I'm showing off for. Now let's get your coat on and head out." he said as he grabbed my hand and led me toward the elevator. When the elevator doors closed, he pinned me to the corner, kissing me fiercely and stealing the breath from my lungs. I placed my hands on his chest, turning my head to the side, "Tyler, we're in the elevator." I protested weakly as he began kissing the side of my neck.
"We're the only ones in here." he purred, and I shivered as his breath fanned my neck. I pushed his chest again, and he groaned, then looked at me longingly, "We might be the only ones in here now, but your parents and brothers, as well as Kyle, use this elevator. I don't want to be caught when the doors open." I said firmly, and he pouted. "Fine, but Val needs to pick out a different outfit for you. You look so gorgeous that I'm gonna have a hard time keeping my hands off you." he grumbled.
I giggled as the doors opened, and we stepped out. "Date first, play later." I replied as I grabbed my coat, and Tyler helped me put it on. "Yes, princess, it should be ready anyway." he said as we walked out the door. I looked at him confused, "What should be ready?" I asked, but he smirked, then tugged me behind him as we headed for the forest.
The forest around the packhouse was thick, and the ground crunched with frost as we walked. I walked beside him, looking around in wonder as we entered a trail with trees covered in icicles, "How is this possible?" I asked as I looked around. It hadn't been cold enough for ice to form in weeks. Tyler put his arm around my waist and smiled, "Do you like it?" he asked, and I nodded, beaming at him, "It's beautiful." I replied, and he smirked, "Not as beautiful as you." he said as we started down the path.
"The trees are thick enough in this part of the forest that the sun barely peeks through so when it's cold enough to freeze, the rain on the trees turns into icicles and stay that way for days. I wanted to come here with you to walk the trail during my favorite time of day and show you my surprise." he said as he grabbed my hand. I smiled and kissed his cheek as we walked, "I can't wait. Let's go." I said as the sun hit the trees just right and lit up the entire forest.
We walked for a while, and I gawked at the light dancing through the trees. All we'd need was some music and this would be the perfect place to dance. Tyler must have read my mind because he grabbed my hand and began to twirl me in a circle, holding me close as I giggled. He was an excellent dancer, being patient and not worrying when I accidentally stepped on his feet.
We danced for a while, then I broke away a bit embarrassed, and he chuckled, kissing my face then grabbing my hand, "Come on princess, it wasn't that bad." he said as I blushed and I shook my head smiling at him, "It was horrible but I enjoyed it. Let's go see this surprise." I said, and he nodded, continuing to walk down the path as the lights kept dancing and the wind blew gently through the trees.
