Hell the World

Maddison Michael stood up, groaning. As he was trying to get back on his feet, he was also being thrown repeatedly onto the concrete. His head was bleeding, and he couldn't fight against the unseen enemy. I hurriedly got out of the car and ran towards him, but I wasn't an exception. I was thrown into the air and on to the ground too. "Maddison!" Michael shouted. "Get back in the car!" I adhered to Michael’s words, groaning and limping in pain. I literally hated myself for being useless. I couldn't even save myself! I was practically hysterical trying to figure out what to do, but what can I do against an unseen force? Shortly after, Michael was tossed up into the air and towards my direction. Closing my eyes and covering my face with my hands, I screamed as his body was slammed against the car hood, breaking the windshield and making the piercing broken pieces scatter all over. I could hear Michael groaning in intense pain, but all I could do was watch him in agony. Everything just went so fast—I suddenly felt something hit me in the gut. My body started to heat up and feel an excruciating pain that made me scream in terror. It felt like fire was burning my insides as it grew hotter and hotter. My body was trembling and shaking. As if the unseen force wasn't satisfied, I was flipped and hurled against the corners of the car until my head started bleeding. I caught my reflection in the broken driving mirror and saw my eyes turn black. Horrified, I screamed at the top of my lungs to no end. In a moment, a loud sound of thunder roared into the air as streaks of lightning struck the trees and burned them. Suddenly, the luxurious Ferrari turned into horror when lightning hit its body, breaking all of its glass windows and shields into bits and pieces. Fire surged inside the vehicle as thunder growled louder and louder. “Maddison!” Michael uttered weakly. Groaning in pain with a broken arm, he tried to get up and walked to the side of the car. "Maddison, I'm right here. I won't leave you. Hang on, okay? Hang on. You're gonna be safe," he added as he opened the front door. Though struggling, he aimed to pull me out. Once we had finally managed to move a little farther, the car ignited and exploded with a loud bang, violently tossing into the air. The explosion was undeniably strong that its impact threw us onto a far, far distance from the road. Our bodies hit the ground with such force that I could feel my bones c***k. Tears fell from my eyes our of fear as I tried to move but couldn't. There was no ounce of strength coming out of my body, then the world turned black. “Ma . . . ddi . . . son," Michael called my name, but I was unresponsive. Hearing the sound of a vehicle coming, he crawled to the middle of the road. He was bleeding more than I was, and I couldn't understand what was happening. The truck driver climbed out of the truck. "Hey Mister, are you alright? What happened?" He knelt on one leg and asked. "Are you alone? Man, you look really bad." I know— he was silly to ask such dumb questions when Michael's disposition was obviously screaming for a savior. If only I could move at that moment, I would have crushed his head into pieces for being such a jerk interviewer. Unable to speak, Michael slowly pointed a finger towards where I was situated. *** Ava I was groaning in pain when Orpheus arrived. I didn’t know what I felt, but I was struck with fear. I had never been this alarmed before. Ever since I came to the human world, everything in me had changed. I started to feel pain, and I became tangible when I was invisible. I crouched down in agony, screaming for the pain in my gut to stop. I pressed my stomach harder, attempting for the tremendous torment to leave my body, but nothing happened. My vision became hazy as sweat bathed me all over. “Where have you been, Orpheus?” I asked as he came in. “Well, I just went out for a walk and . . . Let’s just say I wanted to meet the wolf who bit you,” Orpheus answered. "What is happening to you, my dear? You look . . .I mean . . . feel terrible." "I have no idea, Orpheus. Why don't you help me? Can't you see I'm in pain?" I said, pressing my stomach harder. "I feel like . . . something is . . . is . . . burning inside me. . . everything inside my body!" "Now that's interesting, my dear. Looks like your journey to the future is slowly giving you these . . . signs of turning into . . . something . . ." "What do you mean I am turning into something? I know I wanted a body, but I still want my powers, Orpheus. I am demanding for a body without diminishing my powers of being invisible." "I know, my dear. Take it easy. Your questions shall be answered eventually." Orpheus carried me bridal style towards the couch and lay me gently. I continued to scream in pain, but he was a poker face like he had always been. He sat silently and put my head on his lap. "Ava, my dear," Orpheus said as he gently touched my hair, taking the pain away as he spoke each word. "Ever since you were born, I have taken the responsibility of a father in the absence of Gorgon. As his loyal ally and friend, I shall always stay by your side, my dear, like my own daughter. I shall protect you at all cost. In return, I shall ask for your loyalty and honesty. No secrets, my dear. You shall tell me everything when you meet Amara in the flesh. Together, we shall take Ambrosia's daughter to hell where she belongs," he added with a smile. "My father must have trusted you that much, Orpheus, to entrust me to your care. I shall repay you with my loyalty," I said, kissing his hand. "Thank you for healing me."
