I'm sitting on my bed right now scrolling through the pictures on my laptop of my old friends and I, the friends that actually cared.
I haven't spoken to them for what seems like forever and to be honest, I really miss them, I miss the times when we would laugh and act like total idiots, not really caring who was watching us.
Maybe, just maybe it's not too late to change things around. It's only four pm, I'm just going to go to my old friend and hopefully we will be friends again, Casey's house.
I threw on a sweater and headed out the door, but first explained to my mom where I was going, because I don't think she has given me her full trust yet.
Casey's house is a walking distance from mine,so this won't take long.
I arrived at her door, I could hear laughing, it sounded like, Ashley and Lisa, another two of my ex-friends. They must be having a sleepover.
I rang the doorbell and after a few seconds of nobody coming to answer, I was about to walk away, until I heard the door suddenly open.
"Valerie? ", I heard Casey's voice say my name.
I turned around to see her looking at me with a confused expression on her face.
" What are you doing here? " she questioned.
" I- I came to apologize, I've been so stupid for letting Melony and Finn influence me, I guess I just wanted to know if we can be friends again, I understand if you don't want to be. " I said.
She didn't answer for a good few seconds and I was ready to give up and just go home. She suddenly grabbed my wrist before I could leave, and she hugged me.
We pulled apart," What do you mean again? We never stopped being friends. ", she said to me, I just stood there smiling. She dragged me inside and Ashley and Lisa suddenly jumped up and tackled me to the floor in a hug.
" Careful, you are going to break my glasses. ", I choked out while laughing at the same time.
" SHE'S BACK! ", Ashley shrieked.
" She was never gone. ", I said.
After a half an hour of apologizing, confessing and messing around, I checked my phone. There was a text from my mom.
Mom: Hey sweetie, it's getting late, you should really start heading home.
Like I said, she doesn't fully trust me yet, but she's just being a mom, and at least she cares.
Me: Ok, I'm on my way.
I quickly said goodbye to my friends and started walking home. I am about halfway home right now when suddenly someone jumps out of nowhere. I look at the person standing next to me, it's Finn.
"Look, I'm really sorry about everything that's happened, all of this, I guess I just caused trouble for you, I should have just left you alone. " he quickly rambled out.
" You know what Finn, I accept your apology, which is strange for me to do, because I don't think anyone will ever really trust me fully again, but can you please do me a favour? ", I said.
" Yeah? " he replied.
" Just please, leave me alone, and don't talk to me again. " I said confidently.
And with that he nodded sadly and walked away.
I eventually got home and walked inside the door, happy to have done what I did.
