Chapter 08 Layon's Friends Part 1

After the old man leaves the cave he contemplates where he should go first to gather information about the escaping children.

'Where should I go first? ahh yea let's try the Cameleon town were there trying to escape'

After an hour of flying, he finally saw the town he stops flying and slowly descends to the ground,  he did this because he doesn't want unnecessary attention after that he starts walking towards the town, after a while the old man finally inside the town he observes the situation first see if something unusual.

'sigh I'm too old for this kind of things that kid really giving me hard time, I should ask for people and gather information about what happened that day'

 After a few minutes of collecting information, the old man learned that a week ago there's some ruckus outside the town, some children are yelling for help and when the guard saw them they thought the children are being chased by a beast, so they unsheath their sword and prepare to the fight, the guards run toward the children and when the guards finally saw the situation they noticed that a lot of children is wounded and some of them even past out, so the guards immediately become alert and observe the surrounding after a while when they are sure that there's no more danger the guards bring the children inside the town and let the doctor treat their wounds.

'I guess I check the hospital'

The old man walks in the direction of the hospital while observing the surrounding, and when his near at the hospital building he suddenly feel someone is watching him he ignores it and walks inside the building, inside he was greeted by the girl.

"Hello! sir do you feel sick?"

The old man look at the girl and answers.

"No, I'm just here because I heard a rumor that some children are treated here last week is that true?"

The girl thinks for a bit and quickly answer.

"Uhm... ahh yes we did treat some children here last week It's pretty easy to remember because it's kind of a big incident, but can I ask why do you want to know?

"Because my grandchild disappears I was hoping that I can find him here are the children still here?"

"I'm sorry but they are not here anymore the Cameleon Familia take them and said that they will help the children find their family, I suggest that you should go there and ask."

"Is that so ok thank you, young lady"

The old man shows his gratitude to the girl with a smile and leaves the building, the old man feels the watching eye again after he leaves the building, and the old man smirked.

 'I see what's happening here I think I need to interrogate someone'

The old man walks into the dark alley to lure the person who's watching him, after a while, the person finally bites the bait the old man prepare, the person suddenly showed up grabs the old man and put a knife on his neck.

"Who are you? why are you looking for the children?"

The old man suddenly laughs, and the person with a knife becomes alert and press harder the knife on the old man's neck.

"Do you think this is a joke? answer my question before I kill you!"

The old man stops laughing and talk.

"This is why I hate stupid people, do you think I'm stupid? even if I answer you, you're still going to kill me so just do it"

The man with a knife becomes impatient and slashes the old man's neck,  but instead of feeling relieved, he becomes really scared.

"Ho-how is this possible I'm an LVL 1 Baura User How can I not Injure you?"

The old man turns around and Finally saw the man, he has a black with that covering his face, the old man looks at the man with contempt and smiles proudly.

"This is why I told you, you're stupid you don't even know how strong your opponent and you still attack, do you know what kind of person I hate the most? a stupid person like you but let's stop the chit chat and start the action"

The old man becomes serious and his aura raised multiple LVL, the man in black hood tremble in fear the man tries to escape, but the old man didn't move and just flicks his finger four times and suddenly there's a four-light that shoot at the man four limbs, the man cried in pain and start begging to the old man whose slowly walking towards him.

"Ple-please do-don't kill me!! I-I tell you everything"

The old man stops and removes the man's black hood and he immediately saw the tattoo on his neck a Cameleon, and this proves the old man theory, the old man stares at the man with killing intent and ask.

"Why is the Cameleon Familia buying and k********g children?

The man answer with haste.

"I-I don't know all I know is they are sent to mine some crystal and other than that I don't anything"

"To mine? why use children isn't better to used adult for that kind of job?

" I-I don't know we just follow o-orders!"

 The old man stares at the man's eyes.

'He doesn't look lying to me, what kind of crystal are they mining to used children?'

"Then how can you answer my question if you don't know anything isn't better just to kill you?"

"Wa-wait do-don't kill me I-I know where the children you're looking for!"

"Speak!"

"They are currently being transported to the Black Cats town to be sold as an experimental lab rat"

The old man raised his left eyebrows and ask.

"When did they leave? how strong and how many guards?"

"In ju-just 2 days ago you and need 4 days before you can reach the Fort Euness town if you hurry yo-you can still catch up to them, as for the guards it have 5 guards 4 is LVL 1 Baura User and 1 LVL 2 Baura User"

 The old man hit the man in the neck and make him lose consciousness.

'You're lucky I can't kill, I only used a bit of my aura and I slightly feel tired'

The old man leaves the man and walks towards the exit of the town, after he walks a bit far away from the town the old man fly again in the direction of Fort Euness town, after a day the old man finally saw the groups of people riding a horse and a carriage that transporting the children, the old man past by them at blocking their way the Cameleon members become alerted and the 4 LVL 1 Bauta user become agitated.

"Who the hell are you?! can't you recognize the flag?!

But suddenly the LVL 2 Baura user yell and stop them.

"ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!!!"

'This i***t doesn't even know how strong that old man'

After that, he faces the old man and asks politely.

"Sir, do you perhaps need something?"

The old man look at the four LVL 1 Baura user with killing intent, then stop at the LVL 2 Baura user and answer.

"Yes I need those children inside the carriage"

The LVL 2 Baura user's face suddenly twitches but still talk politely.

"Uhm... sir what do you mean children they are just some goods I don't know what are you talking about?"

"Do you see me as a fool? hurry up and give me those kids"

The LVL 2 Baura use to stop being polite and threaten the old man.

"Hey do you know whose product is this? and do you know who is going to buy this? are you sure you can afford to offend those people?"

The old man sigh and answer.

"I thought you're different to those people back there and going to make a good decision but I guess you are stupid too"

The LVL 2 Baura user also becomes agitated and unsheathed his sword but before he can do or say anything the old man in front of him flick his finger once, and one of the people in the back screams and fell, then he heard the voice of the old man again.

"I advise you to think carefully before you make a decision and don't worry that guy is still alive"

The LVL 2 Baura stop and drop his sword and order the three to release the children, the three LVL 1 Baura user quickly do what their leader told them with fear on their face, they open the curtain that covering the inside of the carriage and inside there are children with different ages and gender, all of them is bound by a rope, the fear in their eyes is very noticeable except for 1 boy, that boy is Yuki who is holding his sister Shiro on his embrace while staring to the man who opens the curtain with killing intent, and beside him is there is a girl who is lying down on the wooden floor of the carriage it's  Rose who is still unconscious, and beside her, it's Lake even though his scared he still block Rose to the man, all of the children who escape with Layon is here then suddenly the man talk to them.

"All of you come down!"

The children start crying one by one but Yuki becomes anxious and asks the man.

"Where are you taking us?"

The man becomes annoyed and yells.

"SHUT UP AND DO WHAT I SAY!"

Because of the man loud voice, the children become more scared and cried, even more, the man becomes angry and raise his right hand to hit one of the children but a ray of light suddenly hit the man's right arm and because of that ray of light the man stop and cried out in pain than the old man talk,

"Did I say you can hit them?"

The old man looks at the LVL 2 Baura user again without saying anything, but the leader understands the old man he orders the other two again.

"Hurry up and don't do anything unnecessary!"

The two-man carry the children and take them out of the carriage one by one except Yuki and Lake Yuki carry his sister and get down on his own, while Lake carries Rose, when all of the children is out the Leader of the 5 Cameleon members speak.

"This is all of them but before I give them to you may I know who you are?"

The old man smirk and answer.

"Why do you want to know my name so you can get your revenge later? just shut up and give them to me"

"But how would I know if you will let us go after we give you the children?"

"You don't, and  if I want to kill you you won't be talking right now" 

the leader finally gives in and orders his underling to give the children to the old man, after the children get to the old man the five-member of Cameleon starting to leave but the old man stops them and say.

"Tell your Familia head to don't even think about finding these children again or else I will give him a visit, leave now."
