“Krista.” Someone shook me awake. Before I could even open my eyes the stench of blood overwhelmed my senses. It was so thick that I could taste it on my tongue, I could feel it caked on my teeth. Why did it reek of blood? My eyes flittered open and I took in the scene around me. I could see Liam bent over me, eyes clouded with worry. I could just make out the twins talking with Will and it looked as if they were speaking about something serious. I couldn’t see Silas, at least not in the first sweep around the room, but what I did see caused my breath to catch in my throat.
