Chapter 46In the morning I leave a bit earlier than usual for work, as I've arranged to make a couple of deliveries for Patricia. Consequently, I take a slightly different route. I'm driving down the main street towards the café when I see that Eddy's car is still parked in exactly the same place as it was yesterday. It's still parked illegally, with the front half of the car covering a cross hatched area reserved for the disabled. As I slowly drive past, I notice that it's sustained some damage to its side, so I pull in to take a closer look. When I examine the car I see the wing mirror has been struck and it's smashed to pieces. There are deep scratches the length of the body and a slight dent in the door. All the damage looks as if it's been caused by another vehicle swerving into it.
