Chapter 21Over the last few days, everyone in town has been talking about Jean-Luc's death and the subsequent fire at his place. Everyone has a theory about who is involved and everyone knows someone, who knows someone, who is in some way connected to him. But by the time the report lands on my desk which suggests he was indeed murdered, his death is history and nobody knows a thing.
Siobhan O'Brien has, as expected, decided not to talk to me after all and her husband and children are never around when I call. Yvonne Sabatier and her children are being looked after by Social Services. She's had a complete breakdown, as after suffering years of a***e and virtual s*****y at the hands of Jean-Luc, she can't function without him. Speaking to her is a complete waste of time.
