Chapter 31Things don't really settle down after the incident at the cycle race. People are edgy. It's the height of the tourist season, but everybody is suspicious of strangers. The relationship between the locals and the tourists are strained, to say the least. There's been no sign of Collum, either here or in Spain, but I've had reports that the bike rider has been seen talking to groups of teenagers, on more than one occasion. I get the feeling that some people are judging me and finding me lacking. There are rumblings from members of the Commune Committee and even from the Mayor. This is no longer a carefree place to live.
Eddy's black Mercedes has been sighted in town a couple of times, but nobody has actually seen Eddy. He's not welcome in any of the cafes or bars. Aidan and Siobhan
