Normally, I wasn’t this patient, but when it came to Harper, I suddenly had all the patience in the world. Most of the day I stood by my car, smoking a cigarette, waiting for her to finish her shift and come outside. I barely even noticed the time. My entire body and my wolf were excited about what was about to happen. Slowly the sun started to set, and when it finally did, I saw the most beautiful sight come through the automatic doors, roaming through her purse, trying to find her car keys.
