A knock echoed through my room. I groaned, not feeling like having visitors right now. Shaking slightly, I moved across my bedroom, struggling to put on a shirt before opening the door and finding Selene on the other side.
“Morning, my king,” she said sweetly.
“Morning,” I replied, my voice hoarse. “Is there something I can do for you?”
“No, I was just checking to see how you were doing.”
How I am doing? I feel like sh*t. But I could tell she wasn’t here just to check on me. Perhaps she wants us to spend time together.
