-Madeleine- “I heard a female needed rescuing,” Chris said as he got out of his car, followed by Garrett. His smug smile instantly put me at ease. I sighed, feeling some of the tension in me begin to dissipate as the two large men approached me outside my house. “I’m so sorry for dragging both of you out here,” I whispered, shaking my head slightly. My thin jacket offered little warmth, so I wrapped my arms around myself to keep from shivering. “I thought we could handle it.” “What exactly happened?” Garrett asked.
