Octavia I slammed the journal shut, only to notice how late it had gotten, and yet nothing productive had come from the day. So far, these two editions weren’t giving me much that was new, and the conversation I’d had with my brother kept distracting me. A yawn tore through me, and I set the journal aside before lying down, facing the window. For a moment, I merely stared at the night sky and the moon outside, feeling it calm me, not bothering to pull the curtains. Then I turned to face the door, not wanting to be surprised again. Still, my eyes began to close until exhaustion finally claimed me. My night was filled with horrific dreams of the past, not keeping me asleep for long. When I jolted awake, I saw that light had once again claimed my room. Stretching, I heard my stomach growl,
