“Elena, wait. We’ve come a long way to go back, and besides, we all wanted to ride the horses today,” Mariana said, holding my hand.
“What’s going on?” Alejandro asked as he walked closer.
Mariana quickly let go of me and moved toward the assistant.
“What’s wrong, little bunny?” he asked.
“Don’t call me that,” I said softly, my cheeks burning.
No matter how much he hurt me, my heart and body always betrayed me. Even when I swore I would walk away, some part of me still wanted him.
