Epilogue

Just outside a small town in rural Utah, a baby boy is found in the ash and rubble of a house that mysteriously burned down sometime during the night. The house was thought to be long abandoned, so when the bodies of the young man and woman were found along with the young baby, authorities quickly launched an investigation. The boy was brought to a local orphanage while they attempted to locate his family.
After arriving at the orphanage, one of the staff realized this was not an ordinary child, he was a werewolf pup. The staff member quickly reached out to the elders of the nearest pack. Howling Pines pack took the boy in, where he was quickly adopted by a young couple. A pack warrior named Anthony and his fated mate, a light witch named Veronica
Over the course of the next few years, the couple raised the boy, which they named Dominic, as their own, the boy’s family was never located. his parents didn’t seem to have belonged to any pack in the area, and no information about any of them was found.
Around the time the boy reached age 10, Anthony grew tired of pretending to be his father and told the boy his true origins, much to the dismay of Veronica. Dominic didn’t take the news well, and began to question whether that had anything to do with the abuse he had been receiving from his father, why his parents were no longer caring for him, and why he ended up in such a situation instead.
Dominic was only able to escape the abuse while he was at school, with his best friends, twin brothers by the name of Alex and Xander. The trio was basically inseparable, they did everything together. much to the dismay of their teachers. Where there was trouble, the trio was sure to be found. Their favorite activities were pulling pranks on the she-wolves in their class, and running through the woods, exploring the pack territory.
One night, about 5 years later, The Howling Pines Pack was attacked by a group of rogues. The pack sustained great losses, one of which was his adoptive mother, Veronica. Anthony was badly injured in the attack, but survived his injuries. However, the loss of his fated mate caused him to go insane. He began treating Dominic worse, the abuse became unbearable, and left Dominic hospitalized, in a medically induced coma, for a few days before he was released back into Anthony’s care.
