Chapter Three : Happy For Now

" RUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN" That same sweet voice that was once filled with with happiness and joy is now filled urgency and worry yelled at me. She told me to run and so I did I ran and ran and ran until my tiny legs couldn't take it anymore and they gave up on me. I crumpled to ball and cried until there was no tears left to cry, but when I heard the sound of giant paws on the wet earth I got up and ran. I was jumping over fallen trees ands roots but everything went flying to the left and all I saw before I hit the ground was a pair of electric blue eyes running towards me then...  " AAAAHHHHHH" I shot up from the bed into a fighting position but then I noticed that it was just a dream, more like a nightmare. I wiped the cold sweat that had beaded on my forehead. I sat down on the bed and tried to wipe the memories of that dreaded day from my mind, but I didn't get far before my door burst open to reveal a boy around the age of sixteen with a worried expression on his face. 

" What happened where's the danger" he yelled looking around 

" There's no danger, it was just a nightmare that scared the living s**t out of me" I said " And who exactly are you?" I asked raising a brow at him 

"Oh, OK I'm Aiden, Mary's son" he replied 

" Great, I'm staying here for a while soooo could you get out of my room" I said motioning to the door 

" yeah, OK " he said turning on his heel and walking out closing the door behind him. I got up and looked around and in better lighting I could see a door and I hoped to god that it is a bathroom. I went over and opened it and it was no surprise when there was a bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink with shampoo's and stuff on a little shelf beside the shower. So I showered and everything and wrapped myself in a big fluffy towel. I rummaged through my bag to find some clothes, I chose a pair of ripped, black skinny jeans and a camouflage top and shoes to match. I done my hair and light make-up and that was me ready for the day. I head downstairs and into the diner where I could smell *sniff* bacon, eggs and pancakes I turned the corner and saw Mary and the boy from earlier sitting at the counter eating. 

" hi Talia, are you hungry" Mary asked taking another bite of her bacon but before I could answer my stomach growled answering for me making us all laugh. so I walked over and took a seat

" Well I can see you already met Aiden he told me all about how he ' saved a beautiful girl from danger'" she said putting the last part in quotation marks to show that that is exactly what he said. 

" Mom " Aiden said covering his face" You weren't supposed to tell her " he mumbled making me laugh. This, this is what I wanted but sadly what I could never have. 

                                                                   * ONE MONTH LATER *

The past month had gone by so fast and I was really happy, I had said I would only stay a week or two but things just happened and it was like I was a part of the family. Mary had given me a job at the diner so I was making money which I didn't really need but was still happy to have, and Aiden was like  a brother he introduced me to some of his friends when they came by to visit and sometimes when it was nice outside we would head out to the lake I talked about and go swimming which was really fun seen as when we started going Aiden couldn't swim and I had to teach him. Life has been really good and now I am sitting at the counter on my seat, yes I had a seat and last time Aiden tried to sit on my seat I dragged him off of it while Mary was peeing herself with laughter. I finished up my milk shake and was about to head upstairs when Aiden said" Talia, me and some friends are doing some training and seen as you beat my ass last time I sat in your seat I was thinking maybe you want to join" training sounds good I have to let of some steam anyway so why not " sure, I just need to get ready" I said standing up "great, meet me outside in ten minutes" he said so I got up and headed up stairs to get changed. I changed into a black sports bra and a pair of black shorts, tied my hair back and headed outside.
