9Anna stared at the two men, her gaze resting on the huge man. So this was the unstoppable Quanah Parker. She could see why everyone was intimidated by him. Even unconscious, he was intimidating. She glanced at Paul then back down at Quanah. “What are we going to do with them? They are both injured, and we only have three horses.” “I’ll go up top and gather some logs and tie them together as a makeshift travois.” Dean mounted and gave them a crooked smile and pointed at Quanah. “Think he’ll notice if his feet drag the ground? I’m not real sure I’ll be able to find a tall enough-sized branch lying around to fit him. He makes you seem short, Paul.” With a laugh, he left.
