MAEVE POV   The tension inside the isolation room was no longer just a figure of speech. The air truly felt dense, suffocating my lungs as if gravity had suddenly multiplied. Heavy… my body felt unbearably heavy to move. The two Alpha auras colliding above the bed made the room feel like an execution chamber. And I was the rope being pulled in opposite directions. “I’m warning you, Stoneclaw!” Dorian hissed. This time, the patience he always showed had reached its limit. And his words carried a deadly threat. Dorian’s fingers tightened around my shoulder, trying harder to pull me away from the bed. “You’re the one who needs to back off, Duskborne!” Alaric roared. His golden eyes burned wildly under the full moonlight. Alaric ignored the wounds on his body that had not fully healed.
