Melonie and Crystal spent the rest of the morning looking through books for more details about the Nightshade pack. Crystal would frequently ask Melonie if she was okay, knowing that the subject of her unknown lineage could be a bit of a soft spot, but Melonie kept brushing her off by saying she was fine. When lunch rolled around, they put the books down to go eat. Crystal was set to meet up with Felicity, afterall.
Although the day was filled with chatter and activities, Melonie found herself lost in her thoughts. Was it possible that the Nightshade pack was where she was from? Did it matter if it were? It wouldn’t change anything, afterall. But perhaps she could learn more about her parents? About what they were like?
