It was a little before sunset when Melonie found herself lurking near the entrance to a park pavilion, observing as wolves gathered. There was a large fire pit in the middle, several benches surrounding it. Behind that were a few tables, one of which was covered in steak, hamburgers, and hot dogs. There were a couple children running from the pavilion to a large field, playing around, but most of the people entering were adults, much older than Melonie. She was growing nervous watching them.
