WILLIAM smiled and pulled Sadie into his arms. He tried to buy for time while thinking of a proper response to her question. He closed his eyes and prayed that his tactic would work. “I was trying to call a relative earlier but she didn’t answer. You might be hungry now, let’s go?” He looked at her and kissed her forehead. She frowned but nodded and then smiled. William took the phone from Sadie and sneakily turned it off as he inserted it on his pants pocket. They walked side by side to the dining area. He pulled Sadie’s chair for her and then moved to sit on his place. “Does your back still hurt?” he asked when he saw her wince as her back leaned on the chair’s backrest. “Just a little, but I’m fine. When did you order all of this?” Sadie asked as she sampled every dish on display.
