I will just replace her with that wolf less freak that we found. We will need to replace her as our servant, though it shouldn’t be too hard to find someone in this worthless pack. However, she has been fun to torment all these years. I am glad to finally be rid of her though.

*Bang Bang Bang* I scream as I am woken up by loud banging on my door. s**t. I guess I slept in and am late for my duties. I was up super late though trying to get all those extra chores they gave me done. Looking over at the clock near my bed, I realize it is only five in the morning. Only two hours of sleep today I guess. Rolling out of bed, I yell out to whoever is on the other side of the door. “I am up. I know I am late starting breakfast. Give me five minutes, please, and I will be done.” “Alpha wants to see you now, slave. Hurry up and get to his office. You know he hates waiting.” I shiver, what did I do now? I know I haven't broken any of his stupid rules, so what could he want me for this early in the morning? I rush to get ready in my thin shirt and leggings. I wish I had better clothes, but this is all I have left that is halfway decent. I am going to have to go search through the trash again to see if I can find any more shirts and pants that are halfway decent. I ran out the door and straight into Beta Roman. I shrunk back a little and bared my neck, “Sorry Beta, Alpha needs to see me now, and I was not watching where I was going.” “You are fine Katryna, you know you don’t need to submit to me, we are friends. You know I hate how they treat you here. I will go with you to Alpha’s office. Then no one will bother you along the way, and you can get there faster so you won't get into trouble. OK?” I nodded and quietly thanked him. Beta Roman has been my only friend here since we met when I was young. I don’t know how I got in this pack, but it has been hell since I could walk. I have never been welcome here and treated as an outsider. Everything got worse on my sixteenth birthday when I didn't shift. After that, I became the wolf less slave girl for the Alpha family. If I mess up, I get beaten and thrown in the cells. Spill a small drop of juice at breakfast? Ten lashings with a silver whip across my back. Don’t get up on time? Or get home later than I am supposed to? Cells for three days with only one piece of bread and dirty water for my meals. Probably why I am so thin. I just wish I could escape from here, but I am too weak to get away. “Where is that damn wolf less slave! She should have been here by now!” I shrink back and start to shake. “It’s fine Katryna, I am here with you.” I nod again and he knocks on the door. “Enter!” He grabs the handle, and we head into the Alpha office. Alpha Alaric is sitting behind his desk and looks just as menacing as ever. “What the hell took you so long, girl? You should have been here immediately when you were summoned!” “I bare my neck, “Yes, Alpha. Sorry Alpha. ' I hate this place so much. I need to get out of here. But how?’ “Now that you are here. Sit. I have something to tell you.” I obediently sit in the chair in front of his desk. “You are going to be given to the Lycan King. He had requested a breeder to appease his beast and give him heirs, and he needed an unmated girl from the Alpha household. Seeing as you are unmated and technically part of the Alpha household, I am sending you as a replacement for my daughter.” I stare at him in open-mouthed shock. No. Not this. Why Moon Goddess? Why have you forsaken me? Why must I constantly have to be tortured and have no shred of hope or happiness? I know I have no choice in the matter. He has already decided. I nod and bow my head, trying to fight back the tears. It isn’t like I could do anything anyway, being a wolf less freak. “When am I being sent away, Alpha?” “You leave in three days. Which means we need to get you looking slightly more appealing than you do now. You will start getting three meals a day, and we are moving you into one of the guest rooms so we can keep a closer eye on you. Don’t try anything stupid, there will be guards posted around the outside of the room so you can not run. You will also be getting a new wardrobe for the journey. Can’t have you look like that when you get sent to the King now can we?” He laughs and waves his hand in dismissal. I quickly leave the room and head back to my room and sob into my pillow. Why can I not have a happy life? Why couldn’t they have just sent me away to be with humans? Please Moon Goddess spare me from this fate…
