The Truth!

Mira POV

I heard the running water and the birds chirping, that cause relaxation to my mind and body. I don't want to open my eyes yet because this is the best way to enjoy this kind of feeling. I felt energize and full of hope. When was the time I heard this? It has been a long time. This brought back the memory of happiness in me. Later, when I am done enjoying the sound, I will give myself a swim until I get exhausted.

"Mira, wake up dear" I heard a soft voice from a girl. The voice is not from Therese! I immediately open my eyes and stand for my defense position. The girl in front of me has long, wavy black hair and glimmering white skin. She has a perfect fit body; which you can easily tell even she is wearing a long navy blue dress that complements the dark blue sky.

"My daughter calm down. I won't hurt you. Always know that I never left you."

She came to me and held my face. I can't move away from her! Her eyes caught mine and gave me warm feelings and comfort. Her hand gives me a tingling sensation like I was never touched before. How can this happen to someone you haven't met before?.

I tried to look around with an aim to cut the feelings building up inside me. I noticed that I'm not inside the forest. "where am I? who are you?" Then I remembered Therese! I tried to call her, but she isn't responding. Is she ok? A pang of fear caught me. I can't live without her! She is all I got! I felt my tears building up.

"Your wolf is ok, my child. And I am your mother, the moon Goddess" she smiled as if she heard my thoughts. I release a sigh of relief after hearing her but got tensed again with the realization.

"Yes, I can hear your thoughts. I am the one who made you, so I guess it's one of my privileges," She added with a smile.

I step back away from her. "No way! Am I dead? Why I'm here?" The place is really beautiful and serene. I believe her for saying she is the moon goddess because she has all the descriptions of the books I read, but to meet her now, I felt I lost the life I was protecting for a long time.

"No, you are not dead Mira. I summoned you here to talk to you. Come to me, my child, I know you longed for my hug." As she opens her arms to welcome me for a hug, my body automatically reached out and hugged her. I felt all my pain rose above like the barrier was unlock. I started shaking, and my tears automatically flow like a river. I never felt this down before because I made sure to hide my feelings. Crying is like admitting how miserable my life is, but it is like the moon goddess knows the right button to push, and the clogged I made went down the drain.

When I think all my tears dried up and my body started to calm down, I looked at her in the eyes. "If you are my mother, why did you let me suffer?" I can't stop myself from asking.

"my child, I never left you. I am with you during those painful moments. That is bound to happen for you to be strong and wise." She told me. "Mira, I know I should not tell this to you now, considering you just let your feelings out, but we are running out of time. I am not only a mother for all the werewolves but your birth mother. It is in the prophecy that I have to let you live on the earth because you are the key to save the werewolf species when the war came." She held my hand while saying that.

I felt numb after hearing it. Did I hear it right?! "I can't even protect myself from those who abu**d me then now you are saying that I have a big responsibility on saving the whole fu**ing werewolf species in a war?!" Is my suffering not enough? I can't even point the fu**ing knife to myself! Is this a joke!

"Mira, calm down, you are my child. The direct descendant of me. After this talk, your power will start to show off. I told you, everything you experienced made you stronger. The path you will walk through from here is the calm before the storm. You will experience happiness and love because you need to learn and develop your power. My child, it would be best if you learned how to control your gift because you'll be needing it to save our species. Therese will guide you; I gave her to you because she is my wolf. She will remind you of me, and whenever you need me, just call my name." she hugged me, and I started to calm down. This is really unfair! I want to get mad, but every time she touches me, I get calm.

"wow, so I am your daughter and not their that's why they can hurt me like they don't give a f**k." My tears start to build-up again. "Sorry, but I have a lot of questions running on my head right now. I don't even know why they hated me after the accident. Is this something related to you?" I asked her. I'm happy that I now have some answers to my questions, but there are still some that I want to clarify. It's like a wound that will only heal once I got an answer.

The moon goddess leads me to sit beside her in one of the trunks beside the river. She smiled at me and tucked my hair behind my left ear. "My child, let the passed be part of history. You have to focus on now and be the best version of yourself for the future. I will deal with them later because they let their greediness control them, and at last, you are already not with them. I don't want to jeopardize your destiny. The accident happened in the waterfalls made them thought that you are not really my child since you nearly die. They created that accident to test the gift I mentioned to them in their dream before. But they didn't know that the gift I'm telling them is your wolf, so they started to see you as useless as not having a child. Past is past; everything was bound to happen, and let's move on." She explained.

"But before that.." My mother pointed her pointing finger upward, swirl it, then pointed down.

"Ooopps! My mistake, I was aiming for the cockroach on the floor! But I forgot it's under their bed! My bad." She looked sad, but there is a smirk on her lips.

My eyes got big after realizing what she did. "No way! You didn't…" The moon goddess, my mother, lifted me from my seat. "I didn't mean to strike them with thunder. It is an accident!"

"Now, I need to train you to control your powers. After the training, you will receive my reward for you, and I will let you see Therese. Let's start!" She winked at me. It is their punishment for messing up with the daughter of the moon goddess. I know it's not good to be happy when someone died, but I can't find any guilt for not smiling a little like now.
