“Are you comfortable?” Chan inquired as he gently placed the pillows and blankets onto the bed.
I managed to nod my head slightly in response.
“I’m truly sorry for causing so much inconvenience to you and your family,” I said, anxiety lacing my words.
“I wouldn’t label you an inconvenience,” he replied, meeting my gaze.
“Carys is very fond of you, and from my perspective, I think my sister took a liking to you almost instantly when you both met,” Chan remarked with a casual shrug.
A faint blush crept across my cheeks, and I felt a wave of embarrassment wash over me.
