I slowly fluttered my eyes open as the gentle hint of sunlight brushed against my face, bringing me back to consciousness.
Once I had fully opened my eyes, I was greeted by the sight of the sleeping Devon beside me, his peaceful expression making my heart skip a beat.
I swallowed hard, feeling a mix of emotions—nervousness, warmth, and something that felt much deeper.
Gingerly, I tried to wiggle out of Devon's warm embrace, but he merely tightened his grip, pulling me closer to him.
