Amethyst ‘Elise’ POV
I switched from my right side to my left side, then back to my right, only to return again to my left side.
Still, despite my efforts, I couldn't fall asleep.
Frustrated, I finally got up.
"Damn it," I muttered under my breath.
I glanced at the clock and saw that it was already past two in the morning.
With an exaggerated huff, I threw the covers off and got out of bed.
Maybe what I need is a glass of water and some fresh air, I thought to myself.
I made my way out of my room and headed to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water.
However, the moment I turned around, I nearly dropped the glass in surprise.
"Whoa, careful!" Devon exclaimed, reaching out to steady both my hand and the glass.
"Gah! You scared the living daylights out of me, Devon!" I exclaim
