Stepping out of the carriage I liked around, a bunch of pathetic alphas stood afar, heads bowed as their fears filled the air.
Bastards whose ancestors had formed alliances with humans, betraying their own kind.
Zephyr stepped forward, his shoulder puffed in pride. “Your majesty, it’s an honor to host you in our little world. It’ll be nothing compared to your pack but I’ll do everything within my power to make sure your stay is comfortable.” Zephyr announced and I grunted as I walked ahead.
“I’ll show you to your room.” He mumbled and I nodded.
“Your majesty, I just commend you, you’re looking as young as ever, not a day beyond twenty, the goddess has not only blessed you with great powers but she’s blessed you with wisdom and good genes.” One alpha tried to falter me and I rolled my eyes.
I was so used to situations like this, a bunch of cowards ready to lick my feet for my favor, they would go extra miles just to please me and although I hated them to the core, this was the only thing I didn’t hate.
Watching them scram and scurry around like squirrels.
“Your majesty, I just opened an old wine trunk, it’s got the best wines that have been left to ferment for years, please give me the permission to send a few bottles back with you when you’re heading back… The moonstone pack is undoubtedly the best wine producer.” One alpha boasted and I scoffed.
“The only wine I drink is the blood of my betrayers.” I replied and the room suddenly went quiet as the alpha coiled back, his fear so satisfying.
“Forgive him, alphas. Traitors are always shallow minded, they have very little reasoning capacity.” Zephyr insulted and I smiled.
I was led into a master suite and I glanced around softly. It wasn’t good enough but it was manageable for pathetic beings like them.
Atticus dropped my luggage and I stepped out into the banquet that had been prepared for me. Food laid out on the table and by the side stood maids, dressed in skimpy outfits, it took nothing to imagine what they had underneath.
“These are the freshest and finest produce, your majesty. We hope you enjoy your meal.” The alphas mumbled as they took their seats and the meals were served, starting from me down to the others.
The meals were tasted by the maids before we proceeded to eat.
They all stared at me stylishly, trying to see if I was furious or happy with the meal.
I had no expression on my face as I ate in silence, glancing around at the maids who openly displayed themselves.
They were aroused, greedy bastards wanted to have their time with the mate but they all waited patiently for me to pick first.
“Your majesty, a party is being thrown in your honor at the pack hall, would you like to attend now or have it moved?” Zephyr suggested.
“No.” I replied and Atticus stood guard as walked to the pack hall.
Everywhere was filled with ladies, some half naked while some wore nothing at all.
I sat at the top and watched as the ladies paraded themselves before me, flashing their most seductive smiles.
I beckoned for one to step forward and she did hastily, excitement and fear coursing through her.
I hated the smell of her fear, it made my lycan restless and grabbing her arm, I had a grin on my face as I inflicted her with sickness.
Her eyes widened as her body slowly turned pale before she fell to the ground, writhing and gasping for breath.
She wouldn’t last a day even with the beast healers. I glanced up to see all the alphas staring at me, terror written all over their faces as the hall became quiet.
“I must apologize alpha, I’m so sorry for my poorly trained maid, if she had been properly trained, she would’ve served without a mistake.” Zephyr apologized and I shook my head.
“She did nothing wrong, she’s human. My Lycan gets furious around them and doesn't spare them… he wants all of them dead, including all those who betrayed us, they deserve nothing but death.” I muttered softly, watching as their bright countenances suddenly changed, fears visible, it seeped out with their scent.
Zephyr laughed, trying to lighten the mood and the other alphas did so.
“I’ve got quite a few, humans available, you can have as much fun as you want and if that’s not enough, I can always send guards into their kingdoms, they’re weak compared to us and very pathetic.” Zephyr announced and I burst into laughter.
My mind drifted to the human and I frowned. I couldn’t help but wonder if she was with the beast or alone.
Was the beast devouring someone else again on behalf of her? Why did I let her off the hook? Why didn’t I punish her for the death of a more important official?
My rage grew and I clenched my fists, gritting my teeth and I felt a tap on me. Looking up, I frowned to see Atticus staring at me cautiously.
“Your majesty… Is there a problem you need me to take care of?” He asked and I shook my head.
“Why?”
“Your Lycan is at the edge and you were snarling moments ago.” He hinted and I scoffed.
“Everything is fine, I’m done. I’ll be returning to my chambers.” I replied and they all stood up, head bowed.
“Thank you so much for this great honor, your majesty…”
“well look forward to seeing you tomorrow.” They all had words to say, weakling trying to build an alliance, one thing that would never happen.
Lycans would never get betrayed again, there would be no chance for humans or wolves to infiltrate our pack.
“Find out about what’s happening at the pack, I need to be informed if the beast has caused any harm again.” I instructed to Atticus who nodded softly.
