Chapter 6

Svetlana I rolled on the ground when a gust of wind blew past me, it took a minute to get myself but by the time I could turn around properly, I was stunned to find King Nikolai in his wolf form, tackling the beast. It was a war of gods, they were both huge and powerful, matching each other’s strength and people screamed with terror, watching how the beast clawed at King Nikolai, drawing out blood. I was terrified, I had never seen anything as vile and terrifying as this. A group of very big Lycans ran forward, it felt like they were the force gotten to help tackle the beast. Two women dashed behind them, holding a few things. The beast was surrounded and I was amazed when they began pouring out powdery stuff into the circle which the beast was in. The guards that surrounded him slowly began to drop unconscious, it was probably a weakening powder. After a long time, a loud thud vibrated in the air as the beast fell. The remaining Lycans reverted to their human forms, all of them carrying the beast. “Gosh I was so terrified… I almost died of fright, the beast is even scarier than they say…” “What was that slave thinking? How stupid, if only she knows the kind of hatred the beast has for her kind. He’d eat her limb for limb and spit out her bloodless bones.” “She thinks because she served him and he didn’t touch her she’d be lucky for a second time. I’m sure the beast only came out to finish off where he started.” “King Nikolai is so powerful… He’s so huge and mighty. I used to think my Alpha was the most powerful man on earth but Kong Nikolai is like a divine being, he looks like he belongs to the moon goddess. He should age a throne beside her…” “It’ll be an honor to work in his house and even a greater honor to be summoned by him. If I ever get the chance, I would strip before he commands, go on my knees and arch my back so well… I would moan even if he’s tearing me apart. I would give him total submission and worship at his feet.” A few slaves behind me gossiped, from the looks of things, it seemed like they were werewolves, eagerly waiting for the day they’d be summoned. I exhaled softly, bending as I tried to continue my job. I staggered back, almost collapsing to the ground. My head throbbed, my stomach rumbled before knotting in pain, making me groan softly as I tried to ignore the pain. The eyes were slightly blurry, I felt dizzy and nauseous but I couldn’t tell my pain to anyone. The master held a whip which was stained with blood, which obviously came from the slaves. I bit my lips, praying with everything within me for me to survive this phase. Soon the sun will set soon. If only I could endure for a few more hours. “Argh…” I whispered, trying to endure the insane dizziness and unable to endure, my heavy eyes closed as I collapsed to the ground. “”””””””””””””””””””””””” Peeling my eyes open, I frowned to see Ashley glaring at me, a spray can in her hands. My clothes were half wet, she scoffed as I sat up. “Weakling!” She snapped, turning to another maid who held a plate which she placed on the floor, trembling slightly. I attacked the food hungrily like a dog. I couldn’t help the tears that spilled down my cheeks. From being a princess who has been served and pampered all my life, I was reduced to a malnourished slave. From dining with kings and princesses in gold and silverware, I’m now a slave, forced to eat in the fields, under the scorching sun with a plate even my brother’s dogs would never use. “Make it snappy, if you don’t finish your duty before the end of the day, you’ll spend the night here!” Ashley vowed and I nodded, munching on the rest with great speed. I returned to my duty, determined to finish before night. I needed the sleep more than anything. My bones were about to drop off and all I wanted was the comfort of a soft bed and soothing touch of a duvet. I was sweating profusely when the field got quiet. It seemed like King Nikolai was around. Nobody whispered and we all bowed our heads as he walked by. The air was tense with great fear. My heart pounded, my body shook as I couldn’t help but remember how vile he was the lasy time I saw him. How he had inflicted me with a disease. Only god knows if he wouldn’t be furious if he finds out that I’m alive. After what seemed like an eternity, I slowly raised my head up and staggered back with fright. He stood in front of me, a robe wrapped around him, to cover his nakedness since he had shifted to his human form. He says nothing, his dark eyes boring into me like a knife. My insides trembled as I bowed my head, hoping he’d have more pressing matters to do than bother himself with a human. “Bring her to me.” He ordered as he walked away, leaving me in tears as two guards grabbed my hand. All I could do was wail. I couldn’t scream or protest, knowing it wouldn’t end well for me.
