I opened my eyes slowly and glancing around, I stretched my hand to the other side of the bed.
It was warm but empty and something fluttered within me… King Nikolai stayed in my room longer than usual.
I had fallen asleep while he was still in the room. His scent filled the room, it was intense and consuming.
