Chapter 10

993 Words
King Nikolai “Your majesty… The human is here to plead for his sister.” A guard announced and I scoffed as I gestured for him to be brought in. “K… King Nikolai.” He muttered as he bowed his head, going very low while I watched him, trying to control my Lycan who wanted to destroy him. I knew that scent and blood, even after hundreds of decades, I would always recognize the scent of the human who had destroyed everything. They started the war, brainwashed other creatures to go against the Lycans all because they wanted to steal our powers. “Speak.” I snarled, licking my canines at the thought of my teeth grounding his weak bones, his blood flowing down the path I walk upon. “Please… I want my sister back. I will give anything in return. 7 ladies in exchange, tributes for years, I’ll worship at your feet.” He pleaded like he wasn’t doing it already. “No, leave.” I ordered and he was filled with shock as he lowered himself more. “Please… Tell me what you want, King. My sister is too little for the king of life…” “I want your blood and that of your entire kingdom!” I growled, baring my fangs as he bowed his head. “Please can I visit her… At least to see how she’s doing and…” “Throw the human out and get me the beast’s slut!” I commanded and the guards pulled him away as he pleaded and begged like a woman. He was pathetic. The human went on her knees before me, bowing her head with fear and I went around her in circles. Trying to know what she was. Sooner or later, I would find out she’s a witch who has been using her powers on the beast and have her burned to ashes. “What are you!” I thundered, waiting for the truth but with shaky lips, she spoke. “A… A human… King.” I scoffed as I pulled a whip from one of my guards, glaring at her while waiting for the truth. She was mortified, her body trembled more and her fear skyrocketed. My lycan loved it, he wanted more of it. He was feeding off her fear. I raised my hand, ready to throw the whip and she shrieked, curling up her body on the ground as she began to weep. My hands froze. I tried to move my wrists but nothing. I felt restless. My Lycan had just stepped in, stopping me from turning her and it made me furious. I dropped the whip, going to my throne as I glared at her, wondering why my Lycan who hated her mind stopped me. Was she using her spells on me? She’s doing the same thing she has been doing to Vladimir. I scowled as I stepped down, grabbing the whip again as I raised it, ready to hit her but my Lycan stepped up, interfering again. “Argh!” I scoffed as I tossed it on the ground. I was about to hit her when Astrid walked into the house, she frowned when she found the human but her eyes lit up when she found that whip. “King Nikolai… Please grant this one request of mine… Enable me to relieve you of the stress of hitting the human.” She pleaded and I nodded. Waiting eagerly, now I would see the length of her powers, if she controls Astrid, then she must die. “Argh!” Her cries rang out as she rolled on the ground, unable to keep still while Astrid grinned. I frowned, staring at her closely as I found a red mark on her body. I didn’t like it and I frowned as I walked over to Astrid, grabbing the whip while she was too stunned to question me. I raised the whip, ready to lash at her but I couldn’t, my lycan was getting in the way again and I scowled in fury, tossing the whip to the ground angrily. “Your majesty, is there a problem? Do you need me to help you?” Astrid demanded and I shook my head. “No, leave.” I ordered and her eyes widened. “You… Your majesty… You invited me…” She stammered and I glared at her, making her swallow as she walked out. “You cast a spell on me and my brother, didn’t you?” I demanded and she shook her head vigorously. I scoffed as I walked in circles, trying to figure out why my cruel wolf was saying the filthy human. “Your majesty… The beast… The beast is furious and he’s about to break free from his cage.” A guard announced and I frowned. “Scram!” I thundered as I rushed out, heading to his cage while the guard called for the backup team. Arriving at his tower, I was astounded to find the beast laying on the ground, sleeping peacefully. I scoffed, kicking his hand as I tried to wake him but he didn’t bulge. It felt like he was experiencing real peace which infuriated me. I was trying to discover how the tiny human cast a spell on us. Just where did she get her powers from and how am I going to reverse it? “You know what brother… You’ve always been a mean, attention seeking bastard. I won’t kill you… whether or not you’ll make it back, I’ll keep you for however long you will live. I know deep down you would be in pain the way you’re killing people for no reason… I’ll make you kill more until the guilt in you kills you. I’ll never forgive you… You’ll never find love or experience that beautiful feeling of having a family, just like me. Never.” I vowed, trying around as I walked out.
