Evelyn looked at her phone.
The man saved his number as Liam Morris.
Liam Morris?
Who is this man?
And why is he after her?
Does she really have to worry about him?
The man asked her to marry him.
He threatened her if he did not marry him, he would destroy her family.
Evelyn thought for a while and smiled.
Who is he? Is he president of A city.
He cannot do anything to her.
This man is just scaring her. And she does not have to be worried about it.
Jane started knocking on the door, "Hey Evelyn. What are you doing in there?"
"You are not sleeping, right?"
Evelyn is dragged into the world by Jane. She shouted, "I am coming."
Jane shouted, "Hey, come out."
Evelyn opened the door.
Jane saw her in the wedding dress and was shocked.
She said, "Didn't you come to change the dress? Why are you still in the dress?"
This woman took so much time and did not even change her dress.
What is wrong with her?
Evelyn' said, "I could not reach the zipper. Come and help me."
She did not know what to say. She could not say what happened to Jane. So, she said whatever she got in her mind.
Jane said, "Are you stupid? If you could not reach the zipper, you should have called someone right."
Evelyn said, "I thought I will try. But I could not. Come and help me now."
She gritted her teeth and scolded Jane in her heart.
Because of this woman, she fell into a mess with this man.
If she did not call her, she would not have gone to pub. Then she could have saved herself from this man.
It happened because of this woman.
Jane said, "why are you looking like that? Are you angry with me?"
She came and unzipped the dress.
Evelyn shook her head.
She changed her head and came back.
Jane also tried her bridesmaid’s dress. It fit her perfectly.
They did some more shopping and went home.
Evelyn went to her bedroom and slumped down on bed.
She is so tired from shopping all day.
Her mother is also very tired.
She ordered food from outside, as she also tried it.
Maria asked Evelyn also to come for dinner. But Evelyn passed out as soon as she hit the bed.
Three days had passed just like that.
Everything was arranged perfectly. Mike loved Evelyn so much. May be more than Mason. So, he wants to do and give his best to her.
The next day is Evelyn’s wedding.
Mike woke up early and was discussing the things which were left.
Evelyn still did not wake up.
Mike came to the hall. Maria came and gave him a coffee cup.
He took it and sat on the sofa.
When he was speaking on the phone, he saw James coming into the house.
Mike hung his phone and said, “Hey James, good morning.”
“Maria, James came. Get another cup of coffee.”
James came and sat beside him.
He looked so worried.
James said, “Mike, this is not a good morning at all. We have a problem.”
Mike got tensed. The wedding is tomorrow. He was worried about what had happened.
He said, “Mike, relax, first drink some coffee. Then we can discuss.”
James said, “Mike, we have a serious problem. I cannot be at peace until I tell you.”
“I thought about telling you on the phone, but I thought it is better to tell you directly.”
Mike was getting more tense.
He said, “James, just tell me what has happened.”
James said, “Mike, Charles is taking the project away from our hands. He told us we wanted to give it to the other company.”
Mike said, “What? What did you say?”
“Charles, are you talking about the new project which we have got?”
James nodded his head.
“Yes, the same project.”
Mike got shocked. He felt like some rock has stuck in his heart.
He said, “But we have almost finished it. We have invested crores of money on it.”
“What is his problem?”
James said, “He is telling it is not according to his plan. He did not like this, and he will give it to another company.”
Mike jerked a bit. James got panicked. He said, “Hey, Careful. Maria, get some water.”
Maria hurriedly brought them some water.
Mike drank water and calmed down a bit.
He said, “James, we have taken crores of money from bank for investment. If this project goes away, we will end up on the road. We will go bankrupt.”
“We have no money left.”
James sighed and said, “The investors are also looking forward to selling their shares.”
“They want to stay without company anymore.”
Mike held his head.
They will go bankrupt.
All the hard work which they have done over years is wasted. They were expecting the project will be completed next month and They would get the money.
But now, they left with neither money nor work.
“What will we do now? Tomorrow is a wedding.”
James said, “Mike, let us leave it to God. The Wedding will happen tomorrow.”
“We will think after that.”
“Jason is very excited about marrying Evelyn. We should not ruin his mood.”
“I did not tell him anything. As he is staying away from the office, because of wedding work, he does not know anything.”
“So, we will also keep quiet.”
“Marriage is a special moment for everyone. We should not ruin that moment of our children.”
Mike also felt James is right.
Yes, they should not tell this now. Evelyn will be sad. She should be happy. She should happily marry Jason and lead a happy life.
So, he also thought to keep silent. He looked at Maria and said, “Maria, don’t tell this to Evelyn or anyone.”
“We will think what we can do after wedding.”
Maria nodded her head.
She prayed in her heart this marriage should happen without any disturbances.
But Evelyn already listened to it. When she woke up and was about to come to the hall, she listened everything.
She leaned on the wall and listened to everything.
At once, whatever that man said came into her mind.
