Coming downstairs, I found the elders waiting for me on a gray couch. Kyran and I glanced at each other before approaching them.
“Elders.” My head bowed.
The three of them noticed the mark on my neck. “I am glad Alpha Kyran marked you. Even though you're his chosen mate, you're out Luna now. You've responsibilities.”
My head remained lowered.
“We have also started an Iron Hunt for Kyran's true mate. She and her family should be punished for hiding the bond.”
I felt the shock through my body. The Iron Hunt was one of the cruelest. Everyone branded under the Iron Hunt was meant to be destined for death…or losing their wolves. Losing a wolf and being crippled made no difference.
